China's Yaxi Expressway Cost $3.3 billion USD in 2012. The bridge is considered an engineering marvel and a masterpiece! Yaxi Expressway is the same length as the Lagos - Calabar Expressway (about 240 kilometers). If you factor in about 150% inflation between 2012 and 2024 in the construction industry (based on 12% average inflation annually), it will cost $7.5 billion USD in today's money, about N8.5 Trillion naira. So why is the Lagos Calabar Expressway costing Nigeria N15 Trillion naira? 5 Likes
