And I will stomp the Nigerian flag onto their soil and shout -
"I do so hereby claim this land, and hereby name it . . . . New-Ojuelegba!"

After all that was how they would stomp their flag onto lands they just arrived in and shout the same thing.
Finally. Now you understand!.

Do you know how much financial aid Rwanda is getting from this?

Illegal Immigrants are actually a burden to any country they move to, developed status notwithstanding, because catering for their settlement, processing applications for asylum, detention facilities, deportation proceedings places a heavy strain on the budgetary allocation of the country involved, induces extra spending which otherwise would be channeled into improvement of the living standards of the citizens of that country.
The burden posed by the illegal Immigrants is often heavier when they move in hordes into the target country.
The EU countries are becoming more and more conscious of this fact and that's why they are consistently imposing severe restrictions on illegal immigration, from deportation right on point of entry, building barbed wired border fences with heavily armed border guards, setting up coastal guards and detention facilities.

No one is using them as a deportation ground. It's a treaty.
The treaty is an upgrade from the previous memorandum of understanding and aims to address the issues raised by the Supreme Court, which had previously ruled the plans as unlawful.

What the Rwandan government is trying to demonstrate that it is a safe country to send people to, and the treaty includes provisions for the UK to resettle a portion of Rwanda's most vulnerable refugees. Thee treaty specifies that Rwanda will only send people back to the UK if there are issues, with no exhaustive list of reasons provided.

Does this agreement sound forced to you? It's a mutual decision.

But this will be a burden and liabilities to Rwanda... Rwanda will have to take care of them... health care, accommodation, jobs for them..and some of those deported to Rwanda can be a security treatto Rwanda for some of the lazy criminal minded ones will want to involve in criminal activities

I don't know why some feel entitled to criticising the UK on this matter. If you are genuinely seeking asylum, no issue at all, you won't go to Rwanda but if you're lying and want to use the law against them, to Rwanda you shall go.
All the same, you don't want state police in Nigeria why are you running away to the UK where there is state police? You don't want restructuring of a country of different nations with about 200 million population yet you want to escape to a country of four nations with about 70 million population. Do you have a conscience at all? You support rule of might here but you want to flee to where there is rule of law? Do you think good countries just became global cynosures without their citizens using their common sense and sacrifice to ensure their countries grow?

You guys don't understand the agreement. According to the agreement. They won't live in Rwanda. Instead of the UK having to process their asylum claims. It will be processed in Rwanda. If successful, they will return to UK. If not Rwandan government will then decide whether to keep them or deport them.

In summary, they're outsourcing asylum considerations to Rwanda who will be paid for it.

They play...

Even if their claims are successful, they would still not have the right to return to Britain

One of the best news from the UK in recent times.
France ,Germany , Norway, Sweden and other western nations should follow suit.

Jihadists will claim fake asylum so they can go over to Europe and start practicing terrorism and demanding for Sharia law.

It seems you don't know Rwanda President, he doesn't tolerate religious extremist and don't follow human rights. Any religious extremist whose asylum is not accepted will be deported back to his home country with speed.

Somehow or the other (and I dont know why) this post of yours comes across as sort of school-prefect-ish, talking down at the OP, or voltron-ish, defending the U.K.

There are reasons why the bill was controversial even in the U.K; and you should not pretend not to know them. Primarily, there is a scent of snobbery in the entire idea of off-loading would be illegal immigrants onto a small third world country, no matter how nicely packaged the idea is.
Very well said.

The British government pays Rwanda for every deported immigrant. They know fully well that those migrants will eventually find their way back to their home country

Re: UK Parliament Approves Rwanda Deportation Bill by godwon01(m): 11:19am On Apr 23
I think the idea is to discourage those that are risking their life to come to the UK. What I don't understand is , these people will get to Italy , Spain and arrive at France border town in order to get cross to the UK. If their intention was to come to the European countries , why can't they stay in Italy , Spain or France , while coming to the UK. They supposed to stay in those countries and stay there to get their papers . Then , after getting those papers there, they can use it to cross legally. They are always in hurry to cross to the UK and that is the reason why the UK government is using Riwanda as deterrent to discourage others coming illegally to their country.
Re: UK Parliament Approves Rwanda Deportation Bill by IbeOkehie: 11:25am On Apr 23
The UK is choosing a humane path here. There are dozens of small islands in the Pacific that could be used for holding these illegal migrants.

Now the wisdom of Brexit is becoming clear. The EU would surely have objected to this. Denmark is another wise country, they made sure to demand an exemption from EU immigration laws right from the start.

Good Luck to the UK.

What is the nature of your inquiry, or is the content of the preceding post unclear to you? Surely you are the original poster?🤷‍♂️

In the event that the matter is not apparent to you, the post discusses the United Kingdom's strategy to repatriate certain migrants to Rwanda, which forms part of a broader initiative to curb unlawful immigration Following an extensive period of legislative debate, the UK Parliament has ratified a bill sanctioning these expulsions.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has been a staunch advocate for this bill, asserting its necessity to halt the influx of migrants traversing the English Channel in diminutive vessels.
The stance of Rwanda on this matter is secondary; the primary concern of the UK government is that this policy will serve to regulate immigration.

What the post says is the policy is designed not solely for the regulation of immigration but also to safeguard individuals by deterring them from embarking on hazardous voyages orchestrated by criminal syndicates.

The Rwandan government on the other hand has stated that it is important for the partnership to adhere to international law standards and has taken objection to being labeled as unsafe. The British government's funding is expected to ensure that asylum seekers sent to Kigali are well taken care of.

It's like an opportunity for Rwanda to strengthen bilateral relations with the UK, receive financial aid, and enhance its international standing by participating in a solution to a global challenge. Rwanda is simply asking for it. Lol
That means very soon terrorists will flood Rwanda.

This Bill reminds me of the movie "Red Sea Diving Resort" where the UN pays the Sudanese government for accommodating Ethiopian war refugees in Sudan. The Rwandan government will get aids and finance from the UK while it gets more skilled and culturally diverse people into its communities.

What a people! Fear who no fear the Brits! They used an immigrant to push a controversial law that seeks to remove immigrants that came through the back door!

Did the British pass through the front door when they were looting the natural & cultural resources of native Africa?

I guess the son of former UN Secy Gen Kofgi Annan has a word or two for them!
