Arguably the most consequential court case that will fundamentally reshape America to a different country either way will take place today at the United States Supreme Court.

The former president will argue that as president, he is immune from every criminal act he took while discharging the office of his presidency and thereafter. This argument had already been rejected by the Appeals court, which then made way for SCOTUS to hear the case. The high court had initially rejected Jack Smith's appeal for an expedited hearing early this year, but now it's on the docket.
