A measure of 8 cups was still selling for N100 as recent as March 2020 as compared to N700 and above so I wonder what has increased sevenfold about cassava or garri that is making it so expensive. Is it the low production, materials, or fertilizers, or seeds, or labour, higher demand, or just plain greed?

It has to be greed. Nothing has gone up by even 350% in all the options and it will take a whopping 700% to justify same in price increase. |
