Aba City will be a place for all Nigerians to come and do business and relax.

It will become the Los Angeles of Nigeria.

You're wrong.

The GDP of Aba should rise commensurate with the twin realities of 24/7 power supply and industrial hyperactivity.

That translates to economic and infrastructural development as investors site their corporate offices in the city, leading to the development of skyscrapers, large international hotels, etc.

In the next year or two, look out for international hotel groups like Sheraton and Hilton starting to clear land there for their hotels, and then it will be a flood of highrises following..

The only chance of Aba looking like this by 2045 is if Nigeria disintegrates or we revert back to the quasi-independence the component units had pre ‘66!

I disagree.

The states are virtually autonomous now. You can do anything you want to do, unlike before.

So it doesn't matter what 'structure' you are in, so long as your leaders are ready to work.

Also, do not underestimate the advantage Aba has, of BEING IN NIGERIA, one of the largest consumer markets on Earth, which negates the need to rely on export markets for their finished goods in the short-run.

If Nigeria ‘disintegrates’, you will lose that market, and be forced to compete for foreign markets with China and others.

Honestly speaking, this is no big deal. Most Nigerians cities with a population of 2m or more should have looked like this by now.

Out of curiosity, I went thru your posts. What's with the hate and bigotry? You've been a registered nairalander since 2011. What happened to you? Genuinely curious.

😂😂 Nigerian weed must be good. Nigerian politicians will never be able to maintain a good society. The country is way too corrupt to achieve something like this.

But why isn’t that so? Nigeria is the biggest failure humanity will ever see to be honest. The country should be dismantled at this point.
