During a recent visit to commiserating with the victims of the Eleme fire incident at Eleme section of the East-West Road, Minister of Works, Engr. Dave Umahi once again became dramatic when a female reporter asked him to answer a question in pidgin. In response, the minister stated: “I no sabi speak pidgin; I no go night school.”
His response has sparked a wave of discussions across various platforms
Recall that the Minister also went dramatic with Arise News correspondent, Laila Johnson-Salami during a stakeholders engagement on the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway project in Lagos on Wednesday during the Q&A session when Laila grabbed the microphone to ask Mr Umahi about Environmental Impact Assessment report for the project. Shortly after the journalist introduced herself and was about asking her question, Mr Umahi interjected saying ; "Sister, I was raised in the village. I no de hear 'phoney' ", in an attempt to stop the journalist from proceeding with her question.
It is not clear why the minister decides to play up such drama to intimidate journalists.

What is wrong with this man? If he can’t deal with the pressure, he can resign and go and rest. He is so full of himself, unfortunately for him, this is Ebonyi state when he was the governor and could bully and detain people the way he liked.

Sincerely they should just allow the man do his work...

Is it because he has made himself accessible hence they want to turn him to "question answering machine"... So many other Ministers in this government that we don't even know their names nor their Ministry.

Only few of them are known to be doing something; Wike, Umahi, Tunji Ojo,,,,aside these 3, most people even after hearing names of other Ministers will have to start thinking about what their ministry is or how well they've been functioning in such ministry...
