In a gathering reminiscent of the proverbial town and gown, when the Nigerian Economic Summit Group ably led by my good friend Tayo Aduloju decided to gather men and women from all works of life to reflect on the 30 years of existence and founders day and lecture of the NESG.

In doing so decided to host this in an institution renowned for its rich intellectual and academic integrity – The Lagos business school Pan African university, it will appear that this event is planned to be iconic.

From the very rich key note address delivered by @Ifueko Okauru to the very powerful remarks by the Governor of Lagos state @sanwo olu, and a very diverse panel made of up my boss @enase Okonedo the VC of Pan African University , @imo itsueli and others from the NESG board and ably moderated by another boss @Olayinka David west, a deputy dean of the LBS, my decision to join this event physically was worth it.

While I congratulate the NESG and the PIC led by @osasuyi, it is apt to state that with all the challenges the NESG has passed through in the last three decades, Nigeria as a country has fared better with an NESG in place rather than the lack of it. Their independent and bi-partisan approach to issues has helped enrich the conversations around the competitiveness of the Nigerian economy.

Congratulations to @tayo aduloju and the team at the NES and NESG @30.
@enase @yink David west @wale anifowoshe @doyin salami @nneka @nkechi iwegbu @chris ogbechie it was a home coming of a sort for some of us.
