When will this tribalism stop on nairaland, people can't give their opinion on peace without been attacked by different tribe. Been Ibo Yoruba doesn't mean that your opinion is not relevant in the country. Yemi Alade, I don't think it's wise to start this. Most of these developers were already warned against building on the drainage channels. My uncle still has his house standing there even after several others were demolished cos he did his due diligence before building. Lagos State govt should include a compensation package for the tenants of those houses demolished cos they actually know nothing about it. Most of the builders aren't living there

No matter how gentle an host is; what our Igbo brothers displayed during the last election is enough to push anybody to the brink of doing the unbelievable.

Whenever government or the rightful Owner demolish buildings I don't pity the owners of those buildings, because 99℅ of them knew the building is being constructed on a wrong site/land/location but some console themselves with there are many buildings here already. Any goes altitude and believe that I can always buy out my way syndrome.

You see flood plane within the city that were left on built for over 7 decades but you wanted to starts construction in such places now. Do you think it doesn't have owners nor other interested person do not see it. It simply because you can get unquestionably approval for those places. Examples of places like that are Alaka on the left going to Lagos Island, Olusosun Ojota going to Maryland up till Jesu Oyingbo Estate, Opebi link bridge before Opebi and Awuse Estate. Plots of land between Iponri and Tejuoso up to railway in Ebute Metta. And many other places within the city.

I am into building construction so I know what I am saying.
