Data is stubborn Imo overtaking Rivers is incredible. Lagos, Anambra and Imo is a case of the brain being more profitable than crude oil 3 Likes |

PHIPEX:Imo is about to jump by 2 trillion yearly when the two gas plants and power plants comes on At least imo GDP would be over 10 trillion We achieved this without having a reasonable governor since 1999 Can't wait till we have our own good governor 2 Likes |

igwebuike01:Anambra is smaller than Abia yet beating Ogun, Oyo, Kano Kaduna states From this map is seems there is a correlation between the smaller a state the higher it's GDP There are exceptions but generally we can see the pattern 4 Likes |

MEEVEET: What’s drives Imo is individual/private effort and the hydrocarbons it’s blessed with! Though the state is being cheated massively by the present Nigerian structure and sharing formula: it appears there’s no template for derivation payments from gas like we have for oyel! I wish the state was governed by a Soludo, Otti or Mbah! They are better managers of resources! 5 Likes |

MEEVEET: The growth should be exponential rather than linear if imo manages get the investment and interest it deserves but I highly doubt our government is competent enough to sell the potential of imo gas as they have attracted meagre investments 200trn cubic feet of natural gas is worth in the trillions of $ as of now but should be worth more as demand for natural gas is estimated to increase by 44% by 2050 There could also possibly be more gas deposits in imo and the surroundings |

Don't believe that FAKE data from APC-sponsored BudgIT. They want to make the whole country believe that APC was the best thing that happened to Nigeria. There's no way Imo GDP will be higher than Rivers and Ogun. 1 Like 1 Share |

LOVEALAIGBO: No doubt, with more and more oil and gas investments pouring into Imo State, the GDP of the state will rocket in the coming years. But, saying that the GDP of Imo is bigger than that of Rivers State is just politricks or baseless assumption. 1 Like |

By 2027 the economy of imo would have quadrupled to about $32b based on the projected rate of the gas economy. But his will this translate to revenue and to the average imo folk. Let imo not be another niger delta economy 2 Likes |

PHIPEX: If you want to make a point, go ahead and make a point. Stop asking SENSELESS questions. No reasonable person will agree that the GDP of Imo is bigger than that of Rivers State.... unless you don't know these two states. |
