Celebrating Art And Afro-centric Culture: Orijin's Vibrant Odyssesy At AMIAF2024 by Wumirb(m): 6:41pm On May 10
Art and culture enthusiasts were treated to a spectacular display of creativity and vibrancy as Orijin, the iconic blend of African herbs and fruits, partnered the Artmiabo International Art Festival (AMIAF) 2024 for an unforgettable experience at EbonyLife Place from April 29th to May 1st 2024.

Themed "Sculptor's Odyssey," the three-day extravaganza immersed attendees in a world of boundless creativity, Afro-centric storytelling and environmental consciousness. Orijin, known for its commitment to celebrating vibrant African roots, brought its unique flair to the festival, leaving an indelible mark on festival-goers.

From delightful serves of orijinal cocktails to the iconic Orijin classic, attendees were treated to a taste of Nigeria's rich cultural heritage. But Orijin went beyond just drinks; it delivered a message of moderation through the innovative Orijin Augmented Reality Moderation Hope Board, encouraging responsible drinking with the mantra that "Beer is more refreshing when savoured moderately."

In addition to the immersive experience, Orijin curated a mini photo exhibition showcasing stunning photographs of its murals across the country, paying homage to Nigeria's diverse cultural landscape. Festival-goers were serenaded by soulful tunes from Made Kuti and Jikume Bethlehem, providing the perfect soundtrack for the festivities.

Miabo Enyadike, the visionary founder of the Artmiabo International Art Festival, expressed her gratitude, emphasizing that the festival was a celebration of art in its purest form—a journey of creativity and self-expression. She lauded Orijin's partnership, which enriched the experience with its unique blend of culture and innovation.

The highlight of the event was the Orijin-sponsored posthumous award presented to Professor Ben Enwonwu, the Pioneer Pan African Artist, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the art world. Roland Akpe, speaking on the award, highlighted the importance of the maestro, Ben Enwuonwu, to this generation of Nigerians. He said, “We are inspired by the incredibly deep roots and flavours of our past as a people. For us at Orijin, Ben Enwuonwu’s legacy is a reminder to continually inspire Nigerians to take pride in their heritage, guiding and enabling them to create beauty in the present, no matter their endeavour, as they confidently journey into the future where the world is us – African.”

The festival attracted prominent figures in the art community, including Professor Bruce Onobrakpeya, Sir Pius Waritimi, Dr. Adeola Balogun, award-winning International Environmental Sculptor, Dotun Popoola, and Adebisi Adebayo. Notably, young talents from institutions like Auchi Polytechnic, YabaTech, and OAU showcased their creativity, underscoring Orijin's commitment to nurturing emerging artists.

As the festivities conclude, Orijin invites everyone to follow its captivating journey on social media @OrijinNigeria on Facebook and @Orijin_Nigeria on Instagram for more deeply rooted milestones and orijinal experiences.

With Orijin at the helm, the celebration of art and Afro-centric culture continues to flourish, inspiring generations to embrace their roots and celebrate their unique identities.
