EFCC Arrests 64 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Osun

Investigators of the Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 arrested sixty-four suspected internet fraudsters in Osun State.

The suspected cybercriminals were arrested in Ede, Osun State following actionable intelligence on their suspicious fraudulent activities in their environs.

Items recovered from them include, 18 exotic vehicles, 18 laptops, 112 mobile phones, three Play Station games, five motorcycles and other incriminating documents among others.

They will be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

Politicians put Nigerian youths on auto pilot. With all these massive arrest every where in the country will these boys stop. Seeing boys of 13 years engaged in such with some parents in support. The government needs to think out of the box. All these boju boju crap is leading us no where.

They'll be charged to court and poof the story dies.

If there's really a serious consequence to Internet fraud more and more people would desist from it, as tempting as it might seem.

It's just like someone robbing a bank and you give him 6months plus community service. It'll serve as motivation to others since the punishment isn't so severe.

Be that as it may.. yahoo boy's aren't the problem of the country. They are just the easiest to bully.

Good. But there are normally no law enforcement agents to preempt the frequent strikes of herdsmen and bandits, or even promptly arrest the herdsmen and bandits whenever they strike.
Modern law enforcers use intelligence methods to forestall crime, not firebrigade methods whenever criminals strike.

EFCC is quick to arrest small yahoo boys that are easy catch, but fail to arrest those looting Nigeria dry. When it concerns politicians they act deaf and dumb but know how to jump fences at night to arrest young boys. Talk about priorities. EFCC is as useless as the yahoo boys they arrest.
