Nnamdi Kanu: Court Rejects IPOB Leader's Bail, Relocation To Kuje Prison by Dapromzy333(m): 2:07pm On May 20
Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has had two applications denied by the Federal High Court in Abuja.

In one of the applications, Kanu requested bail.

He also asked to be relocated from the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS), where he is now detained, to Kuje jail.

Ruling on Monday, May 20, Justice Binta Nyako held that issues raised in both applications had earlier been pronounced on by her court and rejected.

Justice Nyako held that she found as a fact that Kanu jumped the bail earlier granted to him and escaped from the country.

The judge noted that those, who stood surety for Kanu when the earlier bail was granted, later applied to be discharged and were discharged because they could not locate Kanu and did not know his whereabouts.

She held that the only option opened to Kanu was for him to approach the Court of Appeal on the issues.

Justice Nyako rejected the argument by defence lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor that the Supreme Court held that the earlier bail granted him ought not to have been revoked.

The judge held that she perused the said judgment of the Supreme Court, but could not locate the claim made by the defence lawyer.

Jolted by the judge’s pronouncement, Kanu began to shout from the dock and protested that he would not stand trial before any court in Nigeria.

According to Kanu, any attempt to put him on trial would amount to a breach of Nigeria’s Constitution and international laws.

This guy didn't value his freedom when he was a free man and now he has no one to help him.

Just like Simon Ekpa and Ojukwu, his actions has resulted into murder of many of his tribesmen and security officers with a lot of properties destroyed. He commanded this murders and property destruction. And the funny thing is that few gullible people from the SE still see these three men as their heroes.

He is a chest beater and delusional with some touches of schizophrenia.

If he is a leader as some people refer to him (out of their ignorance), then they should tell us one positive thing he has contributed to the people of SE rather than hatred, death and destruction of properties.

The leaders that we know create free education for all (just like Awolowo), they create viable business environments for the prosperity of their people, they seek for protection of life and properties of their people. They believe in sanctity of life and just like the good shepherd, they will keep the other 99 sheep in safe hands, and go hundred miles to ensure the safety of any one missing sheep. They have large heart and think prosperity and peace always.

Good leaders don't try to dominate their people through terror and fear, destruction of businesses and properties, they don't arm gullible youths and send them to their early graves, they don't incite violence and hatred against their own people.

After God na Government o

See what his violent rhetorics caused in Lagos. The victims deserve justice too o.

His lawyers were banking on and playing games with technicalities , doing paparazzi with social media SEO fame and playing with the sensibilities of the poor victims of his violent rhetorics. The Federal Government owes his victims justice.

Only someone with a horrible disdain for justice will see all the evidences of the huge injustices his violent rhetorics caused innocent people that will not feel that his victims deserve justice.

For the sake of justice, he should face the trial and must be allowed to defend himself of the charges so that his culpability or otherwise will be established. Whether you like it or not, one MUST respect the authorities.

Ask those Unilorin Lecturers who dey do ASUU. Many died during their suspension waiting for their entitlements.

VC after VC just continued the fight from where it stopped. Na them just suffer. The widows are the ones who just chopped the largesse of accumulated salaries much later.

I believe in the right of any 'one people' to self determination.

Nonetheless, never really had any interest in following this man's case after I remembered how he'd wear a robe and have people bow to him in a manner better described as 'worship' undecided

They should never free him.

Lock him up and throw away the keys!

His family should have cautioned him when he was inciting violence in Nigeria. He is lucky to still be drawing breadth.

FG should work with the UK to revoke his passport and British citizenship so he can live and continue his fights in Nigeria.

Exactly what we want. Nnamdi Kanu don dey craze small small. I wish someone would replay his broadcast to his igbo brothers on 20/10/20 in which he instructed them to raze Lagos and for them to assassinate Tinubu and Sanwoolu.

Well table has turned and insanity is stepping in.
