Also, anyone in Abuja should also post recent Abuja day and nightime skyline. Last time i was in Abuja (2002) I noticed it was begining to get a decent skyline, but still no pictures online. Please guys big up our country. Show the world pictures.

Thanks for the photos, we here in South Africa have always been told that Abuja is beutiful and I must say that through this picture, I fully agree that Abuja is a great city. I just hope that one day it will end up like Lagos.

I disagree with seun, Abuja has no skyline!! It has buildings spring out of the middle of nowhere, this creates a city without a centre - city centre

I'm not going to bother posting any pics od Abuja until 5 years time

I think too many people here are too easily fazed by a few nice looking skyscapers.

So what I say, we all know that on the ground the reality can often be vastly different.
Lagos is nothing but a ****hole lacking in a lot of basic infrastructure including
water, electricity and a good transport service. The vast majority of its population
live just on or beneath the breadline and a few gleaming skyscrapers in an area
of the city equating to probably 0.001% of its overall size should not disguse that.

Men you funny. I don't think there is anyone in the world who is unaware of what you've just said. For the only way for improvement is through development and by opening skyline threads such as this one, we can get the motivation to better ourselves as a Nation by looking at what we have achieved. Skyscrapers aren't a way of showing of, and they aren't just built, they are a symbol of the might of a nation and it's wealth.

Buildings aren't the matter of fact but without glamourous buildings we would be indifferent from cavemen
Wether rich or poor ever since mesopotamia, people have been striving to enhance their place of residence or commerce through architecture. In brief, buildings such as the ones in Lagos Marina aren't blindfolds but symbols, they are symbols of what can be achieved and what as being achieved and more importantly the soveriengty of our Nation.

Skyscrapers do not necessarily make a city. I disagree that skyscrapers reflect
the might and wealth of a nation. There are too many poor people in Nigeria
despite these deceptive skyscrapers.


I'd much rather( so I'm sure would many others) live in a clean,
neat functioning city. One where there is constant electricity, running water,
security and an adequate transport system. Even if it has not a single building
over 5 storeys.

Either way that is a point for another thread. this one is about Abuja skyline.

I believe in a thing called multitasking, naija is way behind, so we gotta do it all at once
