The region that is BY FAR the least educated, must stop producing Nigerian presidents. Simple and short.

So, knowing Nigeria well, and the convoluted mindset that dictates things there, is there a chance that the core North can be kept out of Nigeria's presidency for at least 40 more years (till they up their levels of education)? I say that chance is almost non-existent. Heck I already see some southerners itching to hand Nigeria back to the rule of illiterates! Therefore, a camel would have to pass through the eye of the needle before I drop my hope for a nation for my region: a region of similar educational levels, culture and religion.

Lawal Kaita is a demented old fellow who has no political relevance. The SSS should screen him for possible association with Boko Haram. The North has not contributed anything useful to this country. Is politics a job with retirement benefits? Nigeria does not lack men of substance. His mentor, Atiku Abubakar cannot be the President of this country.

Political power has not been beneficial to the North. Zones without political power for a very long time seems to have done better in key Human Development Index.

The North should try something else. The quest for raw political power kept them decade their peers. What North need is reawakening, and self help developmental strides. Political power will compound their problem, they should let go what keep them from going forward - political power!

What is the end purpose of having power? Its to make life better. When you look at the economic conditions of your house, its not it. It not only ruling without building the House! But putting good heads together for development.
Power for the sake of having can never last but giving offspring to miscreants, under development, alarming poverty. Let good mind rule this country please!

GEJ has the right to contest for a second term,if it was an open contest it would have been a different ball game,the occupier of the office in this case has not exhausted his right to contest for a second term,so talking about the taking up arms if they are not given the presidency,from a supposed' Elder Statesman' who's fully aware of the security situation in the North,to me smacks of Treason and it's capable of causing more unrest in that region of country.Elder statesmen should learn how to make public utterances because they have people who look up to them,the statement should be roundly condemned no matter who or where it's coming from.

In all honesty I am not in support of this core-north vs south-south fracas.

2. what is the economic value of the north?
3. would the agricultural & unarguably the educationally advanced northern states like kwara,kogi,benue,plateau accept to follow the larger north? and if not what will be the effects?
4. what is the total overhead cost of all the northern states in relation to revenue generated by the states without "oil" federal handouts?
5. how many jobs will be lost or gained if the country divides? and what will be the effect on the north?
