Hmmm....waiting patiently for a winner

Great thread. I think it is a good way of providing incentive for Nigerian programmers.

I haven't really posted/looked around this section for a while.

As for Seun,I appreciate your effort in bringing this idea to whet the appetite for programming in Python to Nigerians on Nairaland. One thing that I would suggest would further be of help to them is to create a thread where they can learn or relate to post their codes for error debugging and corrections.

I hope my suggestion goes through and be of help to upcoming as well as advanced Python programmers!

None's been done on python yet!? No python codes in any of the submitted projects. Critically, nothing worth recommending of those who enter for the competition at the moment. I hope to see something recommendable...

After testing the code and soliciting comments from a fellow Pythonista (the owner of hotels.com.ng) I've come to the conclusion that the 3 entries are very close and it would be unfair to award one of the contestants N150k and leave the other two empty handed.

With the consent of the three contestants, I will like to divide & share the N150k prize as follows:
- 60,000 naira for the overall best entry.
- 50,000 naira for the second best entry.
- 40,000 naira for the third best entry.

I will like the 3 contestants to indicate on this thread whether or not they accept the above proposal. If three of them accept it, then we will go ahead with it. If any of them refuses to accept it, we will award the full prize (N150k) to the best entry and the 2nd and 3rd best overall will get nothing. I would strongly advice the contestants to agree to share the money as described above.

Is this what you are actually looking for, Seun?

1. The guy with the name Abdulkadir N. A project doesn't work very well on Firefox browser with lot of bugs.

2.The one by e911m...@gmail.com came out well done but with bugs(@ line 9 couldn't import cherrypy - even after reinstalling cherrypy 3, etc) and also having some issue with Firefox browser like the Abdulkadir.

3.While the guy aitoehigie currently has no file to download, even from a repository.

Well, the test actually would be able to handle more than hundred of thousands that is just about it.

I support the sharing, since we all worked hard. But the experience of learning a new framework in less than 5 days was awesome, I would like to also get to work with @techytom and @kaderna in the future if the need arises. Thanks @seun for the experience.

Hi, sorry for keeping everybody waiting most importantly @techytom, @pystar, @seun. It was a great experience working with and learning from y'all. I must also thank the community for it's kind support, encouragment and critique, and also some not so kind ones.

A no-brainer here. We all worked hard here in this challenge and the thought of someone going back to work without sisi is ahem.... So as a contender, I fully support the sharing of the prize as suggested by @Seun. I can't thank him enough for his support.

I will also like to organize a competition for those not so kind community members. y'all know yourselves put your names in the remaining space below. The challenge, hug a transformer for 5 seconds and win my share of the prize for this challenge.
