In the messages you receive, they should be an "unsubscribe" link below. This should take you off the mailing list.

Or simply, mark the one of such messages as SPAM from yahoo. Subsequent mails from the group would be auto-moved into the spam folder, thus your inbox doesn't get clogged up anymore.

As for the Language on LinkedIn, can you find your way into your profile? The option to reset it is somewhere there!
