Do You Hurl Insults At Other Drivers On Nigerian Roads?? by dadicvila(m): 7:47am On May 17, 2012
Is it possible to drive on Nigerian roads and not hurl insults at other drivers?considering how reckless majority of the drivers on Nigerian roads drive....ignoring basic traffic laws and putting other road users in danger....do u exchange insults or do you ignore them mayb due to your good manners or maturity....

I want 2 believe everybody does it. Some say it aloud while some mutely. Its actually as a result of d driving lapses we observe n free driving access experienced by learners. Amongst many other reasons is obstruction too.
I do it almost everytime.

I and my dad were once on a highway and this lady in a murano tried to muscle our small vw beetle off the road at a bend.

Abuses and insults were not needed, he just pulled up adjacent the murano, took the roasted corn cub which he had just finished eating, aimed at the ladys head and let it rip

i felt somehow ashamed of myself when the lady had tears in her eyes

Na only on Naija roads? Just overtake me, coming dangerously close or drive too slowly in front of me, the next thing you go hear is ''Cretino/a''. It happens everywhere.

I have thrown an orange at a driver once.

In the FCT, it seems everyone is just crazy on the roads. You sometimes wonder whether people take out their brains and keep in a safe in the house before they hit the streets on their steerings.

Because of this, I have resolved to let my wife do the driving when we are going to church so I don't get into something that will contaminate my mood. She is a lot calmer in that respect.

If U drive slowly infront of me, i 'll just kiss ur bumper from d back depending on d car. If U re a keke driver, i 'll push U off d road. God help U if U re driving a bigger car than mine. I 'll spray pure water on U and speed off! Catch me if U can. Crazy abi. Lol

Heheh! Because Nigerians are not? You people top the chart.

I've never driven in Naija, I doubt I can/will. . . .At least, not in Lagos where there are too many agberos joyously breaking the rules of the road and dem go still cuss you on top, that's if they don't take your life and go scot-free. After all, where there's no law . . .crime no dey.

I don't. And I always ask God to give me the grace not to, even though some drivers are silly.

Is there any other way 2 drive? It keeps me alert and awake.
I hate slow drivers hogging the lanes. It makes me so angry so I always insult them and if its a guy, I tell him he drives like a little girl.
When u insult them, they insult u back. No ojoro.
