Although this question might sound funny, if you look at it in a new perspective, it's a very serious thing. I've been reading the Book of Proverbs for a while now and in practically every chapter and verse, I came across the word FOOL. I've pondered over this word and feel like writing a discourse on it. However, I'd like to seek the opinions of more spiritually enlightened minds than mine before I make my move. To your own spiritual understanding, define or explain what is meant by the word FOOL. Who or what exactly is a fool? How does your definition fit in with human attitudes and behaviours in today's world?

funny but true. just to add that there are different degrees and hierarchy. many a fool will say in their heart and actions, but a bigger fool will type it. a much bigger fool will say it with the mouth.

All the major scientists that laid the principles and fundamentals of science and technology believed in a GOD.

Atheists came into the picture thousands of years later , borrowing the concepts and ideas of these men who believed in GOD

A fool can be refered to any person inrespective of who u are once he or she does something that's not right to others. Example critics can call thier president, pastor, imam, or anybody a fool. So to them that person is a fool. So i would say nobody is really a fool, since any body can point finger to other as fool and that same can also point it out back to them. So the word fool is to bring individual personality down.

Millions who still claim to believe in him do so by mere professing. During that time, did you realize that the bible has a central theme that runs from Gen. To Rev.?
If you and those who still believe in God are ignorant of this, then you would more likely than not misapply and misunderstand it.

you're a liar like the devil. Anything that any man has is given him by God. its not the birds making that they have sharper vision,neither is it man's making that he's more brilliant than other living things. What we are responsible for is to fear God and keep His commandments. Anyone who fails this single task is a failure irrespective of whatever else he may do. To not acknowledge the task at all is what makes you a fool, not your JAMB score.

okeyxyz: @santi222, it's simple actually, a fool is a disobedient person, someone who goes against his conscience, refuses to do what is right/what works and the discipline that goes with it. Yes! there's no truth/right without discipline!

Are we all atheists? Certainly not all professing atheists, however we all behave and conduct our lives as if there is NO God watching us. Our professing of Atheism is not with the mouth ,but worse still, with our actions.
