Ever since I lost my Nokia phone, I have shuttled between phones mostly blackberries. I first used a Curve 2 but because I was still mourning my Nokia I refused to buy a memory card and so the phone hung anytime I subscribed making me lose important calls as it could hang for as long as I let it to except I remove the battery...this was months ago. I poached another blackberry from my boyfriend who likes changing phones anyhow because I am saving for a Nokia E6 and now had two blackberry phones.

Now MTN in Uyo is partially wack when it comes to browsing (data plan- modems and bis) so I had a dilemma in deciding if I wanted to use my airtel in the new blackberry or in the curve 2...because I like to keep up with news and all that my boyfriend advised that I use my Airtel in the new blackberry and leave my MTN in the Curve which I did and so this meant that I had to subscribe only on Airtel's plan - better and faster network at least in Uyo...and my MTN was for calls only. This was months ago.

Now this morning, I received a call from 180 asking why I hadn't subscribed in a long while....and if I had a problem with their network...I told the lady No, that my phone had problems when I subscribed.

She asked if it was something that could be resolved by them and I told her no, that the only solution was in me getting a new phone for my MTN.

She asked if I was on another data plan with another network and I had to lie...(It was a good natured lie) I mean she had gone through the trouble of calling and I didn't have the heart to tell her I enjoyed using Airtel.
What does this mean? Is MTN losing its BIS customers?

I never said there was a difference...I said I have a curve 2 'and' a new blackberry...at least I am not like the babe that came to my office and was arguing that her phone was American Bold 1 even when we were trying to tell her that Bold 1 was the same as Bold 9000...she kept on repeating that she was holding an American Bold 1

Well in Uyo here, Airtel's network is very fast both on PC and phone..so I couldn't care less about MTN...I even wished her a y'ello day

Its really a big shame that mtn the pioneer 3g trailblazer is no more to be recognized.with their much ado of the fibre optic frenzy yet no speed.airtel from nowhere came like thunderbolt unleased their lightning speed 3.75g throttle.in uyo mtn network is 99% congestd 4 data usage except u get to aka itiam or nung udoe.etisalat has overtaken mtn.

I am just wondering why MTN neglected Akwa Ibom like that...and I don't think they give us the unlimited data bundle package they give other states...
