FG and NUC will never stop to amaze Nigerians. Are they just waking up from their slumber or what? What is even the difference between all these universities and the public tertiary institutions in Nigeria? NUC is acting as if they don’t buy certificates in public tertiary institutions too. If NUC wants to be taken seriously, I believe they should start the change within and declare a state of emergency in the educational sector. The Nigerian educational system has really outlived its purpose.

This is one of the reasons hard working nigeran graduates are jobless. You graduate with 2:2 from oau, UNILAG, UI,, but another one graduated with 1st class in okija University of Calgary and Oxford University of ibarapa.

We are not daft that NUC is just finding out this.

Nothing do NOUN, I studied Math & Comp. Science in NOUN and I am doing well in tech (I build apps, deploy AI models, and smart contracts on the blockchain)
NOUN handouts are better than most conventional unis and NOUN is meant for discipline & Intelligenceence students

Since the President's Nigerian certificates can't be accounted for, we all lack the moral fiber to discuss this issue.

What about those that are working with the certificate already

I have people and I have worked with NOUN graduates...those guys are well disciplined....you should know that if you're not disciplined enough you can not come out with good grades.

Imagine if you spent 3 or 4 years of your life struggling to attain that degree with dreams of securing a job, in Nigeria or abroad, for a better future? Maybe you were your wider, relatively poor, family's hope...

If we had the administrative technical/capacity in Nigeria, perhaps a lifeline could be thrown to some of these people - maybe like demoting their degrees to 'A'-levels or some Special Certificate that enable them to be fast-tracked into proper universities to redo the entire thing at reduced cost.

I have guys that finished their Bsc from there and have gone abroad for their post graduate studies, I also have 3 professors from federal universities who are currently students there, running other programmes.
