A member asks if Valvoline maxlife CVT fluid is a good substitute for NS 2 fluid, I reply that it is not and that no alternatives should ever be used for NS2.
You delete the question and leave my answer. Where is the sale in all this exactly??

Have a wiring technician look at it.

Good day experts in the house.
My Infinity fx35 2005 model started displaying Airbag sign on the dashboard. When I scanned it, it gave me the error code " B1134 side module LH [Open]"
Please what is the explanation to this and how do i resolve this?
Experts Siena, Nisspart.....,.etc please dissect this.
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by nissparts(m): 4:11pm On Jul 29, 2014
Are you saying the light just suddenly popped up without any cause? Thats quite unlikely.
Either you did some work on the car seat, or an accident occurred, especially if it wont reset with the scanner.
Apart from the sensor on the bumper which can give off a code on its own occasionally, the other sensors are pretty tight.

So, what happened and did u do a reset with the scanner?
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by orgy: 5:46pm On Jul 29, 2014
@ Nisspart...It just poped up..again.... no accident or any work ever done on any part of the car apart from once patching and pumping the tyre.
It popped up previosly but the scanner was able to resset it. Then after about a month period it came out again and refused to be reset by the scanner.
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by nissparts(m): 6:12pm On Jul 29, 2014
Under your seat there is a module, check if it has been disconnected or an issue with the wiring harness.
Disconnect and reconnect and reset again
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by Nobody: 7:14pm On Jul 29, 2014
Yes, what you have under the seat (specifically in the centre console) is the diagnosis sensor unit, and as Nissparts suggested there's probably been some disconnection between the wires around there and the airbag module itself which is located in the seatback by the side. As a preliminary step ensure that your battery is in good working order, no less than 12volts I believe. Check relevant fuses too.

I intend to get my first car very very soon and I have been a fan of Infiniti FX35 for long (d main reason I have been following this tread for) but it like its not for starters at all from pervious post so I hv been considering the G35 coupe or perhaps the Nissan altima coupe so as not to give myself headache. I just need d ride for day to day cruise, home - work - home - church - home (just within Lagos cruise) pls I need sincere advise on which to go for especially as regarding cost of maintenance, fuel economy availability of parts and normal car to owner rest of mind.. Thanks
Re: Official Nissan & Infiniti Thread by Kingsteve(m): 9:18am On Jul 30, 2014
Infiniti is Nissan, Nissan is Infiniti, which basically means, that some/most Infiniti parts are available.
And as for the fuel consumption...if you're willing to drive a V6, then you should also be ready to spend more on gas.
After a while, you'll probably get used to it.
on a positive note...most infiniti brands are fun to drive.
Go for it!

Not until you give more and detailed information on the cars. You might as well ask us whether it's sensible to exchange your Max with 50k miles with the Camry of 150k miles.

The maximas been with me for 2years, it works well, good engine but the major issue is whenever it has a fault it takes a lot of cash because the spare parts re not readily available and cos its 'exotic' the bills always outrageous! Here's a tokunboh pencil with cheaper spare parts, claims the mileage's less than a 100miles, mines a little above a hundred! Am trading in at no cost o! But d feel is while leave my car for a smaller one?

It seems you have to balance between your "ego" of leaving a big car for a smaller one and the "expenses" associated with the big car. If the agony of the big car is becoming burdensome, why not. You have to be sure, however, that the small car is relatively trouble-free. If not, available cheap spares notwithstanding, it becomes a money pit.
Btw, could you give an example of the fault you've had with the Maxima. Is the tranny 4speed or 5speed?

I don't know what tranny means o! The sharfts have been faulty and so the whole car shakes wen u re accelerating, we've spent a lot to replace the sharft like thrice or more and its still as bad, then the power steering hose started leaking badly till the pump got faulty, twas fixed but d steering still so stiff... Despite abt 3 repairrs, the alternator also had to be fixed twice before twas near normal, on each occasion we didn't spend less than 12k, dats the few I can remember,

I can see where you're coming from. Tranny means transmission (gear box). You know very little about the car. I don't think you have good technicians either. I've fixed the steering hose and replaced the alternator in 2006 Max without issues. As I said if you feel you could cope better with the Camry, why not.
