She lost her mum 1993 and considering her age it is not really early as she was already in her 30's then. To topic, I believe she has a right to visit her own state and it should not be over-politicized. None of us complaining here would visit a flash point like Rivers state without taking full guide. In the past years she visits without much notice.
Point of correction pls. Rivers State is not a flash point of any sort, it is PEJ and her "worshippers" (Wike, Evans Bipi, CP, etc) that usually turns it into one whenever she visits. Without the "Jesus Christ of Okrika" and her sycophants, Rivers State is very peaceful and calm.

ceo_13: Actually that is the life style of an average nigerian "who is in charge" I stay close to the chairman in charge of edo state transport service, if u pass through the street as from 7pm then u are in for trouble from his boys and u dare not stay in front of his house to exchange pleasantry with a friend u bump into. So u see is just our mentality here.
That chairman na head of "agbero" na or are you saying our first lady is an agbero head too?

Which road do you take when going to Uyo, is it not the Aba-PH Expressway? If she is visiting PH from the airport and heading towards GRA, she would take Ikwerre Road, and then Abacha Road. If it is the Old GRA, she would drive straight to Fly Over, then Nnamdi Azikiwe Road to Forces Avenue. There is no the traffic jam she causes will affect you, all things being equal. If on the other hand she decides to land in Airforce Base, it won't affect your lane much because she will be taking the other leading to Fly Over.

Yes I used Aba-PHc road. And you're right about her possible routes to Old GRA. However, I can assure you that there were no security-induced gridlocks on both Ikwerre and Aba roads. I live at Ada-George, and have to cut through Ikwerre road into GRA via Tombia extension, and then into Aba road via Presidential, and I can categorically say that traffic was unusually light for a Monday on Ikwerre road. Not so much for Aba road though, as the traffic picked up abit. But there were no advance security detail stationed on either roads to co-ordinate, and possibly cordon off, traffic. Just the usual traffic cops.

I just left PHC for Uyo this morning, and I can tell you that there wasn't any form of lockdown. Just the usual Monday traffic that was kinda light.
God bless you

Chief Sugar Daddy,
I will still correct you that Rivers state is a flash point and not as peaceful as you claim. You do not know a jack more than I do, So keep to your opinion and name calling.

Sec5: why not allow this woman to drink water and drop cup! Are we still criticizing this woman constructively or are we doing it out of envy.If ur wife is to be in her shoes, will you allow her without security considering the security situation of this country? Let us be rational here.

So everyone 50km radius of wherever she goes must always enter automatic 'house arrest' till she leaves? Not to mention come out and get harassed by our unprofessional security operatives coupled wit the bottlenecks movement would have become. . .

It happens because Nigerians allows it.. When Nigerians finally gets tired of being treated like slaves and second class citizens in their own country, they wont come on the internet and complain, they will do something about it and fast too! Or are these not the same Nigerians that did BABANGIDA MUST GO? If they could brace themselves up against the military with live bullets and Chase IBB away, then stopping all these excesses from an un-elected civilian seems a piece of care.
