armadeo: Why do all runs girls start their story with I was raped as a child.

Secondly its not greed that starts it, its hunger which once sated leads to greed. A vicious cycle it is.
I woonder too, when she have been seeing her rich parent friends coming to school with flashy cars dressing well with mind blowing gadgets and phones, she will want to belong , she will by all mean do some stuff to keep with those already blessesd parent friends.

fem30: The truth is that it is not peculiar to Nigeria. The right amount of money will make majority of the students put their back to the ground. The basic theory is dat whether a gurl is putting her back to the ground becasue of15k (Nigeria student average cost) or for $1,000,000 ; all of them na ashewo na only their price different. cool

The bible has summarised it by stating that money is the root of all evil. Whenever you see evil, money is directly or indirectly connected to it.
stop misquoting the bible..the bible didnt say money is the root of all evil but THE LOVE OF MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL MONEY

The world's a mystery. I doubt its only about the sex...., those men, i believe, invest that cash on something more valuable. Whats in a Vagi*na?, that people would wanna spend that much. The girls in question are but Fools, to believe that their tiny pussseys are the center of concentration.

hod898: I always tell girls, when you enter the university, join a good fellowship gathering, be prayerful and God will provide. Face the hard part now. The more devastating the storm, the sooner it will be over. I once knew a lady who came from a poor family. Very intelligent, diligent and God-fearing, she trusted God and never participated in all these 'I didn't have a choice' immoralities. She graduated with good grades and by God's grace, was employed in a company. She told me her starting salary was about N6000 per day (180,000) per month. During her school years she survived by using her brain. She tutored high school students, she had a choice. Today, she has a marriage proposal from a decent but wealthy man. It's not about the government but the way you govern your life.

I thank God for her.
There is no excuse for prosti-tution, except greed and lust.

Another theory says that many pros are now going to the university to upgrade their trade since most men prefer campus girls. grin

I don't support runs. When I have my own daughter, I won't want her to engage in runs but let's face the facts.

If you want to play holy you had better make heaven because the runs girl isn't any better or worse than someone who isn't holy. Sin is Sin. That being said, all the runs girls I knew back in university were the first to get married and most cases to rich men. Most of them even go to the US to give birth. Most of the runs girls I know who manage to graduate often tap into their connections either with an old chief or a young corporate executive to get good jobs. Some even do businesses sef.

And few of these runs girls actually get to turn a new leaf when they get married by not being adulterous. These are my own personal experiences with these runs girls o. The girl that doesn't do runs had better be a born again christian and make heaven because sin na sin. If u have sex with one boyfriend for 4 years both of u drinking garri, while runs babe lodges at eko hotel everyother weekend with a different bobo, sin na sin.

University is the worst thing that ever happened to girls,it got them exposed and gave them the false sense that they re on there way to be the carrer woman, our girls re gone and lost, this is the trend they choose, they re consumed by love of money, and our parents contribute to this mess, u know u cant train ur child in the univasity, but encourage her to go there just like the other's, that God will see her through..this generation of women re devil inspired, myopic, wicked, conscienseless, vry greedy, has a lot of envy. they got out of hand, is this how ur mothers lived their lives and were happily married to ur dad's and gave birth to u, trained u till adulthood, what did they have b4 they married ur dad's, did they have bb, i pad, i pod, or i phone? it is so unfortunate that the people that will pay for all these atrocities is we young men that will eventualy marry them in the very near future, after gathering all these curses they now load it into one man's home and that's why marriages fail rapidly nowaday's..be vry careful wat ur marry into ur lives, cos these generation of women re vry heartbreaking, only God knows what went wrong, cos my mother was never near this way...

sorry i typed 'will' instead of 'we' typo error.
@topic, its the truth now, you think most parents dont advice their ward, they do but peer group and lack of contentment set in, it only take a well discipline child and God(i.e if you are christian) not to fall for one of the evil vices on campus(es). so you see
Re: Campus Prostitution: A Growing Concern In Nigeria by Nobody: 6:43pm On Aug 03, 2014
As long as they are using condoms and birth control, I dont see how it's anyone's business what grown women choose to do with their bodies. Nigeria as a country is very critical of females exploring their own s*xuality, even if these girls do it just for the fun of it, they're labelled sluts. The virtuous woman doesnt stand a chance in nigeria, one day she'll end up in a boring marriage like 85% of all nigerian marriages and might even be stuck with a cheating dog eg: 70% of married nigerian men with plethora of reason why they do so(all men cheat, it's in their DNA, they cant help it, blah blah).

You are only young once, enjoy yourself and let whoever will lavish $$$ on you do so cos Life is for the living. If your religious views forbid you from doing something, it's your choice dont rub it off on others.. 50% of ppl in nigerian universities will end up unemployed, they just dont know it yet. 90% of these run girls will end up with richer husbands than the prayerful ones so lets not fool ourselves here. Life is getting harder by the second, Live and let live, no one is forcing anyone to do anything they dont want to do. And the men patronising them are not complaining, so let everyone put their money where their mouth is.

SAMBARRY: hello brother warrior. Who are the people wey dey buy their market or patronize them.abi na fellow girls dey buy them car for sec.even nollywood glorifies prostitution so if you want to blame, blame the 2 genders because it takes 2 to tango

U are totally wrong , so as the rest with ur reasoning . If drs no market , no 1 will buy, it's temptation . Das y u c governments all over the world arresting seller of illegal trade . Abroad , the look for and arrest the suppliers of hard drugs and not the buyers . Any guy dat is addicted to sex can't stop patronizing , only if the supplies are cut . They have these runz girls( prostitutes) that also sleep with women for money , what will u now call that? The cause of campus prostitution is purely greed and peer pressure, some girls are even lured into it unknowingly , it's also likened to yahoo yahoo by campus guys, it's greed as well. Nigerian girls are basically greedy and that's y they loose respect , after their degrading acts on campus, they turn good and look for respect . The same politicians that destroyed are nation will also use that I'll gotten money to 4k them , it shows hw shallow minded our girls are. Av Always maintained that boys dont spoil girl , instead girls spoil thier fellow girls , boys just end up completing the job .Some foolis.h ones will even say " am not a prostitute but a runz girl" . What a sick nation

Prostitution is a risky and tough business. Selling oranges/recharge card in school is low risk and less tough. So why do aristos choose the former if its all about money?

No. it means we understand what you don't. the principle of SUPPLY AND DEMAND. these girls are not sleeping with themselves. show me one man who will zip up his trouser for any of these girls and I'll show you one less customer.

Listen... its not just on campuses! The culture of corruption has bred thieves of sorts... who are typically men, in considering the paternalistic nature of our society, which in turn prompts women to get the cash/favor from the men who want their bodies/"goodies" in return. So, whether its campuses, Nollywood, politics, employment... virtually everywhere; there is a very sad and unfortunate quid pro quo culture which so pervasively stems from corruption. Fewer women would engage in such tactics/activities if they had decent opportunities to advance. Men of course are not complaining with things as they are, except for their own economic circumstances.

Things much change because these things have a long term detrimental effect on a society (morality, health, image, etc).

Some of the drivers of this absurd issue are poverty and peer pressuer, tertiary institution ladies have to learn how to be contended with whatsoever they have or what their parents give to them. Peer pressure in the sense that some just want to be like others. They are copying their friends, which is one of the major cause of this! Be wise! Be yourself!
