Keeping quiet at such INJUSTICE and ABUSE, is no longer an option.

Sign Petitions (gather signatures, in video..) to the National Assembly and the Presidency.

I tell you, that Old man called Buhari hates this type of Nonsense ...and would do something about it.

Buying a Laptop (from the School) should be optional ...and should never be a condition for registration.

Honestly, the way students are abused from all angles nowadays, MUST STOP!
Just imagine, coming from "elders" who studied on Scholarship with FREE FOOD to boot?

Na God go punish that Vice Chancellor... Please mention their names publicly and shame them

This issue has obviously lingered. UNN belongs to the Fed. Govt.; let them intervene.

Let me summarise: UNN VC, simply known as Dr. Ozumba compelled all the newly admitted students of UNN to pay 70,000 naira as Laptop Fee which the school will supply. The fee has caused a lot of hardship in the new intakes as it escalated the school fees to 170,000 naira.

Acceptance fee: 25,000
School fees: 60 - 65,000
Laptop fee: 70,000
Accommodation: 10,000(boys) 11,000(girls)

Total: 165,000 - 171,000

The students have expressed their discomfort with this to no avail. They are of the view that some have laptops already, some say that they can get a nice Laptop with just 40,000. Yet the case the case still remains "No laptop fee, no clearance in UNN"

The SUG on their own have not done a thing concrete to reverse this. That's the summary of the status quo in UNN now.

All fed universities or secondary sch should pay the same amount of school fees or whatsoever

These are new students. Are not organised in any way. You need to be fully registered to be a member of SUG.

lasu does not accept two sittings Buh will help you ask though

This is MADNESS I dnt knw when the Federal Government owned institution started all dx the v c should be held responsible. He should be query. Bless this man that wrote it on the facebook page he should continue to petition them till it reaches the ears of those hu will call the v c and the management to order.

It's a shame, quite pathetic.
This VC should better watch it, else he is gonna end up in EFCC 's net. That was the same way he increased the schools masters fee. Most people holding public offices in Nigeria are very corrupt. How can this country progress when we only have corrupt criminals as officials.

This matter should not end on facebook oo... They should publish it on national papers. Let relevant authorities be informed of this inhumane treatment.

The title of the topic should be LAPTOP SCAM AT UNN, because the university is going to swindle thousands of students who will pay N70; 000 for a laptop that will not cost up to N50, 000. UNN can get HP laptops for N25, 000 directly from HP or notebooks from INTEL. The UNN can contact me on how to get laptops from HP or INTEL. And the laptop fee is a scam, because many students already have laptops.

This is why I personally hate this biafra of a thing! Look at how we re wicked to ourselves! Go to the north , no one can dream of suffering his people this way! Our own pride of Biafra land, university of Nigeria...since the so called biafrans started being the VC things changed, acceptance fee was introduced...what is one accepting? Look at Ozumba that schooled under federal government scholarship causing hardship to his brothers ! I weep go my alma mater! I wonder if I could ve smelled a university if my fees was that much! Too bad! The first Nigeria university...lol...wicked men everywhere!!! This is outrightly unacceptable ....don't we have parents that can challenge UNN in the law court ? can't the national assembly throw the stupid VC into his clinic? am angry!

Hello guys,

You should consider we are all in a computer age where everything is done using laptop but the 3rd world country seems to be lacking behind. I once looked for a software which I was to use for my masters in engineering only to find out kids in other countries had been using this software since year 1. I felt disappointed with myself and the society I live in where we see using laptops and cars "as bigger boy things" rather than as necessary items for progress. I am not comparing my country with another, just our mindset. The VC has seen what computers do in other country and here he is trying to imbibe this culture from year 1 and Blackman as alway don dey caste. " we get problem o". My brothers in UNN take this opportunity to get a laptop and use it productively, you will need it for the future I assure you. Cheers

this is really funny..... it is this new session i just resumed that i knw i hw our vcs have meilking us for long.... when buhari implemented new single treasury account then i was able to see that the actual money going to fed. acct. is just 14k...... my school fee has been decreased due to single treasury acct. the sku is now making freshers to pay for tablet first b4 they could be allowed course reg after that pay fee of about 25k to fed. govt acct. staylite will have to pay for bandwildth and sweat shirt first to sku acct b4 they could allowed for course reg.... then pay their fee as low as 14k into fed acct. #UNILORIN #BBF
