Imagine that, they simply want us to pay another tuition fee. All I paid as tuition fee for the Session was N28,500 + bank charges, now Agibefrud wants me to pay another N25, 000 as reparation fee before the semester ends, he must be crazy.

To be sincere, a lot was damaged but that amount is damn too high!

Please let civil society organizations and activist find out if all these so called fees are actually remitted into government accounts, or do they end up in the pocket of the VC or their cronies. I am suspecting corruption on the part of these our lecturers and professors.

recently sent an update that a reparations fee of #25000 should be paid
over the protest that occurred in the school Last Month. it should be
noted that the school has about 15000+ student which will roughly
amount to about #375000000. it should be noted that the reparations to
be made is not up to 70million. the salient question is now,
How does School comes about this outrageous amount ?
this is a school in a state where the civil servants are owned 5month
salaries.
How does the school management expects the parent and Guardian of
these Wards to pay ?
We sincerely appeal to the School management to reduce the said sum
to affordable amount.
Education is meant to reduce crime and alleviate poverty not the reverse

How did you come about the cost of repairs in your post? Just the way you have an estimate, the university has theirs. That said, this will be a learning point to students not to destroy properties when protesting.

na my school be this oooooo. I remembered the one we paid in 2009 when students threw stones at vc office. it was N3,500 though

TO INTENDING PROTESTERS

Following the #25,000 reparation fee imposed on all students by the management, some students have made up plans to storm Akure city tomorrow with a mass PROTEST.

We @ Oasis Media hereby plead with all AAUITES to shun the PROTEST rally as plans are on to use armed forces against the PROTESTERS; either peacful or violent.

In the same manner, the Students Union President of AAUA, Com. Adegbola Odunyemi has disassociated himself from the PROTEST by any group or group of persons.

We hereby advice all AAUITES to be law abiding and calm as plans are ongoing to appeal for a reversal on the high reparation fee.

I just continue to wonder when a SU will be constituted in that AAUA. Students are being cheated seriously. Last week, Akungba indigenes are complaining of low patronage and when students resume, proces of commodities skyrocket, 2008 was the "agolo" saga where students paid same rate as indigenes from Akungba to Ikare, SUG resolve it but couldn't stand the test of time, now I learnt agolo takes Ikare for #150. Now ur so called Sue the bastard of an SUG President CANNOT stand and fight, why was he elected in the first place, after all the election was rigged sha via "E-VOTING" My advice is bumps should be erected few meters before and after the school gate junction same as that of FUTA. The manmade Akure-Owo garage directly in front of the school should either be moved up or down few meters to the school gate.. Goodluck as you all hustle for the #25,000 reparation fee.
