And the surprising thing is that they pegged the maintenance charge at 1% of all transactions carried out, even Stanbic charges on all debit and credit, including reversals of failed transactions. Bunch or pen-robbers.

They should also investigate a bank (First Bank) that removes N1.00 per N1000.00 withdrawer from your saving account after three withdrawer limit on your account monthly and call it maintenance charges. Despite the fact that you will be charged interbank transfer fees of N105, sms fee, N50 on every deposit above N1k, you use your internet, with a token you bought from them. In August they deducted N16k from my account and last month September they deducted N2K in the name of maintenance fee.
Planning to sue them as soon as I am ready sha because it is a day light robbery. How can you be deducting the money I saved/kept in your care and have never given me interest before.

u guys seriously think it is free to walk to diamond bank ATM card insert your first bank ATM card and it said welcome Henry akande

u are back in 1994 when they use big log book with pencil and ruler if u think that inter bank switch is free
the bank pays service provider heavy amount of money to put one ATM on standby 247 internet and u think it's free? of course there is occasional bad network that does not mean they will not pay the service provider the interswitch that connect all the banks together is not owned by the bank as a result all the bank pays interswitch for that service and lastly before 2014 using any ATM is free for any bank card but the truth behind the matter is for every bank customer that use another bank ATM the bank pays the other Bank on behalf of that customer what they usually do is balance each other that is five customer of first bank as against three customer of diamond then first bank will pay diamond for the balance of two customer but with time this money grew so huge it was tearing the pocket of bank hence they come to resolution AL customer should bear their cross

trust me the bank hardly gain #5 per that #65

This is a nice development but they should also do something on the issue of seizing of atm card. imagine u just slot in ur card at the atm and the next thing is that there is no network and your card refuse to come out without typing any pin b4 ur card was seized. You will still pay 1,050 to collect a new card. This is totally a cheating and it should be stopped.

I just noticed that one today. 5 transfers @ 105# each =525# wen I cud av used 100 to pay to and fro bank layout.
Am missing a whooping 1dollar

The fraud i see here is that banks set a limit for interbank withdrawals @ 20k ....so that they can charge u 65naira each time when u want to withdraw large amounts u will b forced to make multiple withdrawals...den they start charging u each time after ur third withdrawal......but the process is suppose to restart again .....that is 65naira on every 3rd interbank withdrawal.... Meaning 130 naira on every 6 withdrawal..but they charge u continuously after d 3rd interbank withdrawal......
