Being an ardent follower and visitor to the religion section, I must say, that I've noticed a change in the quality of posts and topics being discussed.
For a long time as a guest, before registering, I ALWAYS visited the religion section, where there was a great, insightful and rich discourses, debates and teachings.

It is, however, not the case anymore. Anyone who was regular here as early as 2009 - 2012 would understand truly what I mean.
I actually wonder where those great posters, some of which I learnt a great deal from, have all gone to. Most have stopped posting, others are occasional posters now.

I wish the good old days when we had the likes of, but not limited to;

Deepsight: My all time favourite poster.

Viaro

Plaetton

PastorAIO

Krayola

InesQor

Noetic

Davidylan

M_nwankwo:Truly wise.

Justcool

Mazage

Prizm

Nuclearboy

MrAnony

Jesoul

The homer

And many others, who I haven't mentioned. . . .

I just wish these posters would return and make this section what it once used to be.

I think that a lot of the problem is that many of the christian folks have given up even trying to make reasonable arguments that one can engage with and most exchanges now are just invectives. The quality has certainly gone down.

Majority of Christians through the years have probably seen that there are NO good arguments for Christianity that can't be rebutted as fast as they're given so they hide under "generic god" claim like "Cosmological arguments" "moral arguments" "fine tuning" etc, a close look at those arguments show that a Muslim, Hindu, pagan, Viking, Pastafarians etc can use the same arguments

this watered down arguments have led to a decline in intelligent discourse, next is trolling and creating extra monickers to upvote posts, statistical manipulation to fit narratives etc

I love how Mranony would break you down bits by bits in an argument.
