I know there is a saying spare the rod n spoil the child .. but there are 101 ways to punish a child n he or she will adhere to your instructions. You may be beating a child this way out of anger n disfigure your child n this is a girl for goodness sake.

If whip can kills ehn; I wont be alive today due to serious bashing my dad do give me and my younger brother then wen I used to be very stubborn. Thank God my father trained us up and today both my parents and everyone I come across do send prayers across to my parents for training me up well.

Back to the topic, its only a useless parents that will condole such by welcoming such child/ward with open arms after he or she has slept out without the consents of his or her parents. I will certainly train up my children the way they should grow so wen I grow up and I can have rest of mind and be rest assured of my impacts on them. It's called discipline. I wouldn't fault the parents 'cause from the looks of things, she's a teenager and may be exhibiting signs of waywardness. If she had accounted for her movement, she won't have gotten this beaten.

Words alone doesn't correct these ones. If you've never been beaten as a Nigerian child by your parents for your wrongs then you're missing 'cause some day you'll look back and thank them for correcting you the hard way.

This will not stop anything. Some kids do those things because of the environment. If you provide the right structure for your kids, they would hardly look outside. Some of them just want to enjoy A/C in " uncle's " room.
Some of them just want to watch TV there
Some of them just can't resist to go to eat fried eggs there
Some go there to play video games
Some go there to play with "uncles" younger female relative
Some just need cash to buy little girls things, like chewing gum, pants and deodorant

The adult, parents and the so called uncle's should also share part of the blame.
