Haba. This baby looks well taken care of and we'll loved. How can a baby this clean, chubby and cute be deliberately abused na. Moreover the mom could have been cooking ,watching TV or doing any other thing without noticing when the baby crawled away. You think it's easy keeping an eye on a child 24 hrs?

He would forever live with such worst pains. Leaving in that apartment, to daily wake up and see the swimming pool that took the live of his son, would constantly leave him with agonies of mind. And conversely, he might from now be allergic to swimming pools, as using same would constantly remind him of the nature of death that took his child. I really commensurate with him and his wife.. Losing one's child owing to such a careless and avoidable means would be terribly painful to bear

This incidence was due to negligence but leveling criminal charges against them is a no no. The parents are grieving,if only one can feel the pains they are going through now.
They have learnt their lesson in a very bitter way, all we need is to sympathize with them and tell them to be careful next time.
If I'm in their shoes, I will seal up that pool forever.

It's really sad but if it were to be in a sane country, the parents would be charged for negligence o and na jail terms.

I hate to say it but it's a death which could have been avoided. You never let kids out of the sight of the guardians or parents. Haba.

It's pure negligence. You don't let a child out of your sight because you're watching TV, cooking or on social media.

This is sad, parents shouldn't just assume their child is ok, or in the hand of another parent, just go look and confirm, always follow your intuition when it comes to kids, if you are scared it might happen, it just might happen. Rest in Peace young one.

Yes! there should be someone designated to look after the kid BUT my total blame is on the architect that built the swimming pool. Iam an architect, ask me why.

The most painful thing about this loss is that it is an avoidable one.

Child care is no mini business. I remember when I had my first kid, I vested so much trust in my MIL only to discover that she's always happy when baby falls from a height ( under 6 months kid). After much explanations on what falls can result in to developing brains but mama wouldn't just yield, I and my husband just started blocking her from carrying the baby. She felt offended for a while but when we didn't give her attention she left us. It might be that the mum left him in the care of someone she never took pain to study her passion for child care. I pray they find strength to bear this loss and God should give them other(s) that will live long.

Nothing worse than burying your child. This is so heartbreaking. I hate anything associated with death.

A baby must be under watch 2/4/7. Some people have absolutely no idea of what fatherhood and parenthood entails. They think having a baby is like one of the many trophies and awards in their cupboards to flaunt and showcase to evryone, with no babycare and safety knowledge. SMH

My baby can't even stay 1minute out of sight without my checking up on him o. Even if em dey with my elders... Impossible
