Funny how Igbos have been swayed by the Atiku/Obi slot and loosing focus on their initial clamour for Biafra or referendum.. Everyone is unduly optimistic of Atikus victory at the polls.. No one is looking at it from other dimensions.. No one remembers the power of an incumbent president

So what happens if Atiku doesnt win? The Igbos will fall back to their Biafran cause? Isn't that laughable ?

Buhari is core military man adorned in the cloak of a civilian.. he still has that military inclinations , Buhari is a despot he might use brute to remain on the saddle.. same shit played out few months back in Osun when PDP won and it was overturned.. till date no one said a damn thing

Should Igbos heed Nnamdi Kanu's stance on voters apathy in the east and stand our ground for Biafra or referendum? Or should we keep our fingers crossed and root for Atiku/Obi....
Igbos are seemingly enmeshed in this political indecision

Can Inec be trusted? Will our votes count?

What happend in Osun is a pointer that our Inec is compromised

There should be a "pact" for power to be rotated cos even if Buhari rigs the election and holds on to power neither Hausas nor yorubas would protest cos its still favourable to them

Sometimes I feel Igbos are destined to be politically irrelavant

IBO dnt do what ifs. They are true and frank, if most Nigerians were like them I pretty much knw Nigeria would be by far a better country than what it is today. Politically correctness has no business in Nation building, so also selfish interests. The hand writing was on the wall in 2015, that Goodluck would loose, yet they stood their ground. i rather an Ibo support than the shifty Yorubas. We all knew Buhari was incompetent, but sentiments didnt allow us tell ourselves the truth. Now that Buhari has proven beyond any doubt that the Ibos were right, why are you Yorubas still rooting for him? selfish interest. Nothing more nothing less. So Ibos and their disposition is not Nigerians problem. Sentiments such as the one you raised is.

1.The Ibos told us Buhari would fail, that he lacks the capacity and competence to fix anything, we said it was a lie, what happened? the only two times Nigeria got into recession was under Buhari. Go figure.

2. Ibos said the killings will increase as well as fanatism and polarization of the different ethinic groups, I said it was a lie, Goodluck was weak, thats why he couldnt prevent the bombings. But right now what Ibos said didnt only happen but even worst than they predicted. My beautiful peaceful North Central have been turned into a slaughter house. As one from the Middle belt am ashamed of how I called my Ibos friends names.

3. Only Fanatics, and tribal bigots still supports Buhari, no one but Buhari supporters are in self denial about Buhari fixing anything. They talk alot of good english, speak plenty of grammers, but deep down they are either religious fanantics or ethnic Bigots. People who wants Nigeria to still remain a ground for oppression and reppression. If not why would any sensable person still support a govt that asks its citizens to vacate their ancestrial lands for cattles to graze or be killed?
Howvthen can you justify your support for a president that thinks there is an entity called western Germany in this 21 century?

Well am happy alot of Nigerians are not like you mr. Political correctness. If the hunger and killings didnt reset your brain, it has reset and recalibrated the brains of most common Nigerians on the streets.

And what's important about the debate?

Election is never won by debate.

Buhari might lose in debate but not in an election.

His good works will speak for him.

Debate or not Buhari is wining 2019 election and he will win BIG.
Name the good works that will speak for him

What will be the impact of this debate on the average Nigerian voter?!.. By that 7pm, millions will be without power supply and many more will be in the house of Some party officials collecting 5k, 10k or 50k in exchange for their PVC's... Most would have recieved fone calls during the day that the power company has disconnected their supply due to outstanding debts.. Most will still be trekking home because they want to save that Transport fare to buy their kids breakfast in the morning... Some will be detained by hospitals mgt for not being able to settle their bills... Many will be in betting houses trying to 'cut' a 'living'... Many more will be on transit going to meet that 'man' that promised to change their story after a one night stand... Many will be wrongfully detained by the police..etc.. Many will still be in traffic gridlock.. Many will hear the voices of their loved ones for the first time after days of going missing due to activities of kidnappers as a result of insecurity.. Many will be on the fone with customer Representatives of cable tv for a problem that has linger for days... May God guide us las las to elect the right people after all said and done

This is the best post on Nairaland for the year...@op you nailed it, millions will be in the dark,or at the filling stations by that time.

Even if they did give him for 365 days...he would still mess up.

Someone contested as President 4 good times and still waited for 6 months to appoint a Cabinet.

Waited 6 months to appoint people like Amaechi. We thought he was hunting for talents and technocrats

grin

I am not impressed by Buhari's imaginary "achievements"...

But PDP would have sold Nigeria if left in power.

Atiku was there for 8 good years as VP, part of the clique that bled Nigeria dry. And so i wouldn't vote a known kleptomaniac.

Back to the story, Buhari can't participate in a debate held in his household, he's a certified dullard tongue

Point of correction Atiku was V.P for only 4 year. the rest was spent sidelined by OBJ.
