I really love this textbook,where can I get it?

Don't act surprised. Our English textbook that had the famous Mr and Mrs Salami family portrayed same thing. Even their kids Ali and Simbi were subjected to gender roles at home

A textbook has gone viral on social media, for teaching kids what has been interpreted as the ill side of 'gender roles'.  The textbook which relayed examples of gender roles assigned to both men and women, stated that husband should earn money and the wife should look after the children, serve, do the dishes, ensure the house is clean, ensure the kids are well behaved and also make sure that members of the nuclear and extended family are happy.

That book is a typical description of most families...
Men should do maintenance work, mixing gender role is causing serious problems in families....

Yes, a woman is meant to care for her family, foster an atmosphere of love and unity and do what's necessary to support her husband, but in the same vein, she has the right to be whatever she wants to be. And it is the husband's place to help and support her dreams and aspirations .

I do not think the author is directly teaching that that is how society is or should be structured. Let us be observant and examine it patiently.

The book says that gender roles are stereotypes and then goes ahead to list examples of these roles (which are stereotypes).; and truly, those examples are stereotypes.

Lastly, we do not know what follows or precedes that page in the book, and so cannot judge the author's motive. For example, the author may be trying to make a case against gender stereotypes.

From what has been shown, it cannot be said that the author has done either right or wrong on the matter of gender roles.

Parents with high IQ should watch out for any school that recommends such texts books.

No child should be enrolled in such a school whether male or female.

Schools like that are filled with quack headmistresses/principals, female teachers who look like market women, male teachers and gate men who look like child molesters.
