A textbook has gone viral on social media, for teaching kids what has been interpreted as the ill side of 'gender roles'.  The textbook which relayed examples of gender roles assigned to both men and women, stated that husband should earn money and the wife should look after the children, serve, do the dishes, ensure the house is clean, ensure the kids are well behaved and also make sure that members of the nuclear and extended family are happy. 


I don't get it. What exactly is wrong with the text book? The fact that it said that the woman should cook, wash nd stuff (which is the primary responsibility of a woman anyways) does not mean it said that they should not work. The problem with the so called African women is that they have totally abandoned their roles as women and want to live the life of a man. Everybody wants to marry a woman like his mother, but come to think of it, what would have happened if your mother has same feminist craze of the modern Nigerian ladies? And which mother want a daughter in-law that will send her son to the kitchen? #Westernization is killing Africa.

It's just a job, which men feel is beneath them. My colleagues cleaner is a man. Nobody is stopping men from being maids. Just as nobody is stopping women from being mechanics.
