Plans by the Buhari led APC government to rig the 2019 general elections has never been hidden.
The Signs has been there all along, but Nigerians as usual failed to heed those signs until they woke up to be confronted by the monster, following the suspension of the constitution and coup against the judiciary.

I will chronicle the events which were carefully planned and released in phases. Truly, cabals are holding the country to ransome as revealed by Mrs Buhari.

Walter Onoghen was acting CJN for many months, and refused to be confirmed by Buhari until Osinbajo did the needful when Buhari was in a London hospital, following agitation by Nigerians to correct in some ways, the nepotism that has characterized the Buhari government.

The cabal were obviously not happy about this, and would want someone pliable and 'friendly' to the villa to be in-charge.

Seeing that it was impossible to get the required two-third majority in the Senate that is needed to remove the CJN, they decided to change tactics.

The former IGP was a willing tool in this exercise, and his ability to deliver the states of Ekiti and Osun, using the police earned him a sit at the table of the cabal. He became powerful and untouchable.
He was able to disobey Buhari by refusing to go to Benue, and nothing could touch him.
The police spokesman became so emboldened that he even engaged a sitting governor in an exchange of words, calling him "a drowning man".
When it was time to retire the IGP, the cabal tried everything to retain him for the usual special election duties, but were stiffly resisted by the people.

The next move was to use INEC.
Every Nigerian knows that elections in Nigeria are not rigged at the polling booths, but at the collation centres. Whilst accurate results are declared and pasted at the polling booths, they suddenly change at the point of collation!
This all important 'magic' arena is where INEC under Prof Yakubu decides that no other person is good enough to head other than Amina Zakari, a relation of president Buhari, who is desperate to retain his seat!

Electoral act as currently in use gives room to the use of incident form, which gives room for election manipulation as it sidesteps the authentication of the PCV. If PC is not authenticated, then just anybody can vote even when they are not on the voters register. It will instructive that more people voted in the North in 2015 using incident forms, and these are areas that delivered massive votes for president Buhari. It Was therefore not surprising that the president would kick against any amendment of the bill so that our electoral process can be enriched. In a bizarre comment, he rather asked that any amendment should be done after the 2019 elections, when he would be constitutionally ineligible to run!

INEC again came up with guidelines for the 2019 elections, which suggests simultaneous accreditation and voting!
The big fraud in this is that it becomes impossible for the agents and voting public to know how many people actually came out to vote. The process should have been you accredit, announce the total number of people accredited, then you commence voting. this way, it become difficult to have more than the number of accredited voters voting on the day.
But the new guidelines gives room to manipulation and rigging.

The suspension of the CJN was the last straw that broke the camel's back as it was so brazen and ' the heavens should fall' attitude in its execution.
Nigerians know that almost every election petition ends up at the tribunal. To play the dangerous stunt which the president displayed in this matter simply shows the level of desperation, and how far these people are ready to go! To them, Nigeria can burn as long as they remain in office!

It is for this reason that all true lovers of Nigeria and democracy should close ranks and ensure that the president abides by the rules of the game. The path which he threads now is capable to not only destroying our democracy, but Nigeria as a whole.

Abacha was never this brazen despite his terror.

Nigeria shall survive this assault by the government, just like it did the Abacha regime.
