If you intend travelling to uk in December, 2019... you should only apply 3 months before that is in September 2019... anything earlier than 3 months before intended travel date is not acceptable

I totally disagree with that...my travelling date in September and I applied in March. The Visa was granted in April. Though the Visa validity starts in June 26 and ends in December 26. If we are not sure of certain information, let's advise as a form of suggestions. This platform is trusted and uncertainty of information will not be appreciated.

Please never ever say that. Uncertainty of information? Pls I am glad they have a website for everyone to access information as well..
This information is clearly spelt out on the UKVI official website which I have graciously attached..
go to www.gov.uk and quit what you just did...
This is the official information the people put out, I have no business with your personal circumstances or that of any others as this is clearly what they ask that visa applicants do.
www.gov.uk is still up and running for your perusal

The fact that you got lucky with it does not make it right. For the UK visit visa, the earliest you are expected to apply is three months to your intended travel date.

Yes you can if you are very confident and sure your application will scale through.

Hello gurus in the house. I am a Nigerian but live and work in El Salvador. Unfortunately, I am in a country where the UK embassy does not issue visa but I will be in Nigeria next week so I intend to get my biometric done in Nigeria. I have visited Spain(twice), Italy, USA, Belize, Costa Rica, Mexico(twice), Colombia(twice). And I currently have a valid Schengen visa issued by the German consulate here. '

I intend travelling to the UK in December 2019 but not sure if I can apply for a 2-year visa as a first time UK visa applicant.

Thanks as I look forward to your response.

As a business woman your monthly proceeds will definitely varies; meaning any amount of money can drop into your account differently on monthly basis. You only need receipt/s to back them up.
As for tax certificate , you can indicate you business is NOT registered, this I did when applying for my wife who sells fabrics, and others wears; with the help of God the application scaled through, she has 5 years visa.
Saying unemployed is NOT too good.

kaakaa:
So I was refused the visa.... I don’t understand there second reason, help me explain.... travel history is US 3 times, china twice, traveling alone, have my husband n kids here, how do I pose a flight risk with a 1 year old at home.... am tired of this visa officers....
Am a business woman but didn’t write that bc I can’t back it up with monthly pay to myself and tax clearance, hence I just wrote unemployed.

An ordinary receipts of payment could have cleared this mess.Payment receipt like sales of land, shop rent, rented apartment.......you need something to defend the large amount(My thinking).
A friend was denied in April for lump sum and immediately he reapplied with same documents but this time with proof of source of the fund( receipt of sales of 2 hectares of land).
He was granted within 5 days of reapplication , he has visited uk and returned home.

dcutey:

I think the VO meant that the money doesn't correlate with your family's financial status considering you stated you were unemployed and the large deposit of money seen in the statement you submitted.

And that was why your visa start date is June and not September because it's 3 months from date of application

You can apply for walk in and go for your biometrics any day you want. But if you will be going to the TLS in Ikeja, make sure you are there as early as possible. The crowd there can be out of control during these summer periods.

I don't think there is date for assisted service next week. But you can get dates for self service next week albeit the dates you will get will be for prime time appointments.

Hello oga @justwise and everyone on this great forum,

I'm almost set to reapply after my last refusal 2 years ago. I have booked male hostel for 10days at total of £108 in Lewisham, London, I'm trying to cut down my budget.

Now my question is, my monthly salary is 200k after tax and monthly expenses is 80k, how many months salary can i spend on this trip that will make sense?

Please guide me through.

PS: I wanted to cut down the monthly expenses as my wife is now working and we have no kids yet, but someone adviced me to stick to the monthly expenses i filled in my last application.

Please i need to be enlighten on this.

Many thanks and God bless as always

Hi

Also how do I change from Ikeja appointment option to vi option?

Pls don’t read and ignore thanks
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 5:11pm On Jun 20, 2019
if your refusal was 2 years ago, I dont think anyone can categorically say that your budget can’t change in these 2 years either more or less... even the cost of everything has not been the same in the past 2 years.. even people save up for projects, to buy houses, to acquire property, to pay hospital bills and the likes and their monthly expenditure reduces...
after I will upload my friend’s application, the finance side if he grants me permission ... his budget was 420k for 7 days on the grounds of tourism....hostel reservation included . first time applicant... his salary was 180k.. he filled that his monthly expenses was 25k..he is married but no children yet.. and he said he doesn’t have any dependants..
he was granted the visa because he was able to convincingly assure the visa officer on what he was saying..both in the finance section of his visa application and other areas. In a nutshell, examine your circumstances critically... no single month has the same expenses neither is everyone’s circumstance in Nigeria the same and the visa officer knows this. Then i think safety will be to say you will spend 2-3 months of your salary on this holiday after living expenses has been subtracted. 3 months been worst case scenario.
Thats my opinion. I am not an expert..

Hello guys.

i'm posting this again for the 3rd time someone should please reply..E jor!

I've read the whole of part 3 and i can see that different people have their own unique case to present.
Please help me with mine. Biko!.

i plan to travel to the uk in September for vacation for 10 days.

My Aunt's friend whose family is based in the UK wants to give me and invitation letter . During my stay in the UK i plan to visit some friends, sightseeing and most importantly watch my favorite football team play.

My office will provide my with Letter of introduction and other important documents for the trip.
i earn a net monthly income of 183k (minus leave allowance, 13th month , clothing allowance and incentive pay for the year). i usually save up to 120k p/mi have a total of 1.1m in my salary account and 300K in my saving account. The total amount should be 1.9m or 2m by sept. Also, My mum has sent 100k to me on 4 or 5 different occasion over the past 9 months( i plan to explain this in a cover letter).

Although i do not have a written budget but i plan to spend a total of 550k on this trip ( 3 times of my monthly income). My Aunt's friend will provide me with accommodation

@justwise and other gurus Kindly advise me on what to change or improve . feel free to criticize constructively

Thanks and Regards.
