Oloyedecherry: People burying their cash in Lekki real estate are stupid, no doubt. Even of the world's biggest drains are constructed there, everything would still be under water within the next thirty years. 1 Like |

PureFace1: And what is the frequency of the flooding. Black man hide your face in shame. As we speak thousands of your kinsmen are trying to cross illegally into Europe. They said it's bad government so why does every single black majority country have bad irresponsible governments?? This speaks to the uselessness of blacks who are only good for partying, clubbing and having sex?? And rituals and kidnapping?? |

BigBashiru: You're partially right, it is a joint responsibility. The public pays their taxes and the governmernt builds and maintauins the infrastructure. The difference between Nigeria and places like the USA is that in Nigeria no one does their job. Most of the public don't pay their fair share of taxes and the govenrmnt well? Our government is all about stomach infrastructure |

BigBashiru: Pls explain d roles& responsibilities involved in infrastructure and d responsibility quota in percentage for everyone involved |
Re: Lekki Garden, Lagos Flooded After Heavy Rain (Photos, Video) by BigBashiru: 12:48pm On Oct 06, 2019 |
lexy2014: Nigerians are 100% responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure. The government has 0 responsibility. More specifically, Nigerians are responsible for holding local government chairmen accountable through protests, Nigerians are responsible for holding governors accountable through protests if the infrastructure they wat isn't there. Nigerians are also responsible for maintaining infrastructure through community policing I.e. if u see someone vandalizing infrastructure, report to police. Nigerians are responsible for using infrastructure; in Lagos for example there are overhead foot ridges but many ppl still cross the express dangerously. Nigerians take responsibility for ur country and stop taking the easy way out by blaming the government. |

Oloyedecherry: So individuals should be designing and constructing their drainages? I thought that is the function of the government. |

executive12:Definitely it is the function of the government, but it's so sad that in this country we only pay to government to enjoy not to work...but then when government is not coming forth and we know how dastard the effect of flood can be...to save ourselves...it's better to pay for it rather than waiting and do you think that the cost of prevention of flood will be more than cost of damages that could result from flood?? |

BigBashiru: Since u say "Nigerians are 100% responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure. The government has 0 responsibility", can u pls name one public infrastructure in Nigeria that was built & maintained this way? For instance, 3rd mainland bridge Since u say "Nigerians are 100% responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure. The government has 0 responsibility", then y do we have govt& y are those in govt collecting salary? Are they collecting salary for doing nothing? U mentioned overhead bridge which u say d citizens aren't using. Pls who built d bridge? According to u "Nigerians are 100% responsible for building and maintaining infrastructure. The government has 0 responsibility." But at d same time u say "Nigerians are responsible for holding governors accountable through protests if the infrastructure they wat isn't there." If d govt has no responsibility as far as infrastructure is concerned, then y should d people hold them accountable for what u say they have no responsibility for? Y can't d citizens not get what they want themselves? |
