a pothole is a damaged road that needs to be fixed ASAP... the above is that said fix, and if drivers drive slowly while passing them, NOTHING will happen to their cars. those that want to speed up on these speedbreakers fix can blame their deluded self for the damage caused.

again, you can either go to the streets and have this man sacked OR be quiet and accept what he does. the choice is yours.... but biatching and ranting on a faceless forum is a waste of time.

pls dont wrote BS while claiming that this is what i said.... i SAID that this was better than nothing (as a temporary fix). stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day! you make no damn sense.

I didn't ask u to define pothole for me. I asked u to define speeedbreak. What is a speeedbreak. If u say a pothole doesn't qualify as speeedbreak but boulders used to fill potholes qualify as speeedbreak, then u should b able to explain y.

So what do we u call what u are doing? Does it fall into d category of asslicking and sycophancy, a product of a bastardised mind who feels that he is at d mercy of d political class to which he should b grateful that he owes his existence to them?

lexy2014:

If u don't no how much it will cost to provide good roads to Abians, then what confidence do u have in saying that this is d best d govt can do? What little are they doing that u think am not being honest about?

I was expecting that u will address this poser above instead of trying to sound saintly about what u said or didn't say.

If u say that what they have done is "better than nothing", u invariably saying that's d best they can do. So what is d BS u are trying to defend urself against?

When u say that
"stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day!", can u pls establish how many days it takes 4d magic wand to work its wonders? Besides, when did we discuss magic wand fixing everything in a day?

Like I said earlier, u have a mentality in which u feel d governor is doing his people a favour so they should b grateful. So if u go to ur bank and u ask to withdraw 10k and u are given 1k, am sure u will b grateful and make excuses 4d bank. Am sure when u ask a tailor to sew shirt and trouser 4u and he delivers only shirt without trouser, u will tell him thank u.

Pls avail urself of Section 14(2b) of d constitution that says "d security and welfare of d people is d primary purpose of govt". Who is d head of govt in abia state?

here below is AGAIN what i have been writing all along.... stop chasing your own tail:
the above is certainly better than potholes... and will only be as bad as a speedbumps.
here is a simple difference between potholes and these temporary fixes: one is a hole in the ground (measuring from 50/100cms or more), the other is max 15cms above the ground.

So what do we u call what u are doing? Does it fall into d category of asslicking and sycophancy, a product of a bastardised mind who feels that he is at d mercy of d political class to which he should b grateful that he owes his existence to them?

again, let me try to talk to you, as if you were a 5yr old: there are potholes ALL OVER Nigeria, and the above temporary fix is better than driving in these deadly potholes.

When u say that
"stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day!", can u pls establish how many days it takes 4d magic wand to work its wonders?

irrelevant question that you need to ask your local gov for that...but it certainly does NOT change the fact that they are at least doing something to "temporarily" fix the problem.

Besides, when did we discuss magic wand fixing everything in a day?

they are temporarily fixing the issues of potholes and you are busting a vein expecting it to be permanently fixed instead.....so its obvious that "you" believe that ALL potholes should be "permanently" fixed, right this instant.

Like I said earlier, u have a mentality in which u feel d governor is doing his people a favour so they should b grateful. again, stop putting words in my mouth that i didnt say... thats your misplaced state of mind thinking in such a foul way, not me.
this governor is doing NOBODY a favour, he is doing his damn job... and yes, people should be grateful that he is doing something about this pothole issue (that is disturbing people's lives). these are temporary fixes, if you cant see it then blame YOURSELF, not me nor governor.
how dare you compare the above issue with withdrawing your own money from the bank? ARE YOU OK?!?!?!?!?!
how dare you compare the above issue with paying a tailor for making clothing for you own self?! ARE YOU OK?!?!?!?!?!
who is even asking anyone to thank the government?! ARE YOU OK?!?!?!?!?!
the lives of the people is better thanks to these temporary fixes as i am 110% sure these potholes wont turn into lagoons next time it rains.

Pls avail urself of Section 14(2b) of d constitution that says "d security and welfare of d people is d primary purpose of govt". Who is d head of govt in abia state?

pls do show us all how the security and/or welfare of the people has "not" been attained by these temporary potholes fix?!?!?!?!

U already getting emotional with ur "are u OK?" questions. D answer to that is simple: "I am OK". Are u? Should we b worried with d way u are spilling ur emotions and talking off point? For instance, I asked u to define speeedbreak since u said pothole isn't a speeedbreak but d boulders in d potholes are speed breaks. Instead u are talking of how putting boulders in a pothole is better than potholes. Once again, what is a speeedbreak? This is d 3rd time am asking but u just jumping allover d place like a ping pong. And u are talking of common sense when u asked " what is A?" U are saying 1,2,3,4.

U talking of "temporary fix". Have u ever asked urself how did d potholes get so big to d point whereby boulders have now become d solution? Did d giant potholes become so big in a day? If u talking about magic wands that can't fix roads in a day, then y allow them to get so big in d first place? Obviously u haven't educated urself enough. If u have educated urself, u would have asked urself those questions. Commonsense is not common.

Its u who said "stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day!". Its not d govt. Then y are u telling me to ask govt about a statement u made urself?

Now we c where ur education is highly deficient because u can't draw similarities between my analogies and who ur governor is. There is what is called social contract. I hope u no what a contract is? A contract is an agreement& every contract has conditions & responsibilities 4 both parties. When u open an account with a bank, it is a contract. If u tell a tailor to sew ur clothes and he agrees, it is a contract. D same thing applies to d r/ship with ur political representatives. If u can't tolerate failure in service delivery from ur bank& tailor, then y will u do d same from ur elected representatives? Oh, I forgot. U don't no d meaning of contract.

U enter into a contract with ur elected representatives to provide social services, hence section 14(2b) of d constitution. In my opinion, I think u need d education more than I do.

How has d govt failed with regards section 14(2b) of d constitution? Like I asked u earlier, how did d potholes get so big in d first place?

irrelevant to the issue at hand.... temporary fix is better than potholes and no different than speedbreakers. if you cant understand this then the problem is nobody but YOU

U talking of "temporary fix". Have u ever asked urself how did d potholes get so big to d point whereby boulders have now become d solution? Did d giant potholes become so big in a day? with the amount of road to be fixed in Nigeria, and road that are falling apart, YES its going to take some time for ALL potholes to be fixed. but hey, if you expect all of them to be fixed "today" then the joke is on you. the above is a temporary fix. if you cant understand this then the problem is nobody but YOU

Its u who said "stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day!". Its not d govt. Then y are u telling me to ask govt about a statement u made urself?

because COMMON SENSE would have you understand that they cant fix all potholes in the states in one day... thus these temporary fixes will ease the people's life until potholes are permanently fixed... instead of having these potholes turn into lagoons after a short rain.
now, if you ask me how many days it takes to use magic wand and fix ALL potholes in the state, then as i said earlier: better ask the gov, not me.

Now we c where ur education is highly deficient because u can't draw similarities between my analogies and who ur governor is. There is what is called social contract. I hope u no what a contract is? please, by all means, show us all the social contract that stipulated that ALL potholes in the states should be "permanently" fixed by the 13th of November 2019. take your time...

U enter into a contract with ur elected representatives to provide social services, hence section 14(2b) of d constitution. In my opinion, I think u need d education more than I do.

if these temporary fixes, that will definitely benefit the people of the state, are not your idea of providing better road infrastructures then, i suggest you build these road yourself instead. something has been done to temporarily fix the pothole problems, if the fixes are not good enough for you, then the problem here is nobody but YOU.

How has d govt failed with regards section 14(2b) of d constitution? Like I asked u earlier, how did d potholes get so big in d first place?

who gives a damn so long as they are doing something about it NOW?!

I can feel ur emotions in ur words. Its so tangible. And when u have a persons emotions so tangible in a situation, its a reflection of d fact that his thinking faculties have taken a back seat& his emotions doing d thinking.

I didn't no that d question "what is a speeedbreak", is d most difficult question in d world. Cos after several times of asking, u have been glossing over d question & trying to avoid answering. I was thinking that since u classified d boulders in d potholes as speeedbreaks& potholes as non speeedbreaks, u will do justice to defining what a speeedbreak is. But alas, u are telling how "temporary fix is better than pothole". That isn't what I asked. I asked " what is a speeedbreak"? I thought u said u have common sense?

Pls, is d governor of Abia state responsible 4d health of roads all over Nigeria? What has d roads in Abia state got to do "with the amount of road to be fixed in Nigeria, and road that are falling apart"? Am still surprised that u talked about commonsense but it seems to b deficient in ur comments.

Its u who said this on behalf of d governor: "stop expecting the gov to have a magic wand to fix EVERY problem in Nigeria... in one day!".

I didn't ask d governor anything b4 u made d comment that u did? Since that is d case, then it shouldn't b a problem 4u to inform me on how long it takes 4d roads to b fixed. By d way, how can d governor of Abia state b responsible 4 fixing every problem in Nigeria as u stated?

FYI, this is my first post on d issue:

lexy2014:

First, D potholes are already speed breakers in themselves. Second, d people didn't vote 4d governor in order to turn their roads into speed bumps. Third, what will it cost d govt to deliver quality roads to its people? d people deserve better

U consistently mentioning time in ur comments. From my post above, do u c anywhere I mentioned anything about time? And u say u have commonsense? Are u actually following d conversation or u discussing something entirely different?

U haven't replied "all d above BS questions". For instance, can u show me where u defined what a speeedbreak is? I don't think so. So I don't dislike ur answers cos u haven't even given them. If u have then it will b easy to like or dislike. I can't dislike what u haven't given

so then i gave you my below answer

MrBrownJay1:
here is a simple difference between potholes and these temporary fixes: one is a hole in the ground (measuring from 50/100cms or more), the other is max 15cms above the ground.

this is my final answer on the issue, so again, just because you dont like my answer, does NOT mean it is going to change.

I thought u said u have common sense? How does this statement below answer d question "what is a speeedbreak"?:

"here is a simple difference between potholes and these temporary fixes: one is a hole in the ground (measuring from 50/100cms or more), the other is max 15cms above the ground."

D question I asked u thru out d course of our interaction & in every comment I made is "what is a speeedbreak?" D comment u made above doesn't say what a speeedbreak is. Ur response should simply b "a speeedbreak is....". Its not rocket science
