I have got a maternal Aunt who is feminist inclined, she will be 41 in December and Some other aunts keep pulling her aside during family functions and tell her to just have kids any which way.... maybe Linda ikeji style .

So Ladies , Is a piece of a man better than no Man at all ? If you never find your dream man as husband, would you rather be alone by yourself.

Me I told them, if they keep rubbing it in her face they will not see her again @ family functions.

Well ask Aunty Silica crying due to loneliness viz a viz Aunty Rukewe using her make to cover her bruises.

Truth is when you are single, you can hope for the best. When you have made your choice and it turns out to be bone, the person is in hell. embarassed

Even if you leave, the scars are there.

I hope I have been able to convince you that when it comes to marriage, sometimes, none is better than half.

grin which one is a piece of a man again? Well.. If I understand you perfectly, that is single parenthood you're advising her to go into and it's not the best.

Look, marriage is good, no doubt. but now making it sound like it a do or die affair to the point of putting unnecessary pressure on someone is pure witchcraft. For Pete's sakes, everyone has his or her own timing. Don't always use someones' elses' timing (in achieving certain things in life) as a yardstick for others. It doesn't work that way. The earlier society realizes this the better it would be for everyone. Like seriously, marriage is overhyped. And even those who are not enjoying their marriage will also want to pressure or shame you just to feel alright themselves.

Dont even try it cos theylll still be the ones to turn around and tag you "babymama" or tag your child bastard.
Let her be patient and prayerful about it. Her man will locate her. And in the meantime, let her be herself and be bubbling with life so she doesn't start aging due to worrying too much. Enjoy your single hood while it last cos marriage comes with a whole lot of responsibilities that will last a life time. Just chilax for Jesus abeg.

let your clueless family understand that:
- not all women make great mothers
- not all women want to have kids
- better single than with the wrong person by your side
- some of these unmarried women are 1000 times happier than any of the people looking down on them.
- better someone that live the life THEY want to live rather than being miserable by living the life everyone else want her to live.

Thats not what I'm implying but rather as a woman you can't be happy and fulfilled without being married or never married(its nature).Cases of domestic violence is on its own.

I'M AFRAID YOU MAY JUST DIE FROM YOUR DELUSIONS.

THERE ARE MILLIONS OF UNMARRIED AND SUCCESSFUL PEOPLE WORLDWIDE, THIS EXCLUDES PRIESTS, MONKS AND NUNS.

ONLY YOU FROM WHERE EVER YOU'RE TYPING FROM IS CONCLUDING THAT THEIR LIVES ARE MESSED UP AND THEY'RE IN DEEPEST SORROW BECAUSE THEY'RE NOT MARRIED?

YOU'RE CLEARLY DELUSIONAL. WITHOUT MARRIAGE SOMEONE LIKE YOU MAY JUST KILL YOURSELF.

why did you decide to use those harshwords instead of just sharing your thoughts.Anyways I know well there are millions of successful unmarried people and I never disputed that. All I'm saying is that marriage kind of bring happiness and fulfilment to women(its nature) im not ruling out exceptions.

Life's happiness and fulfilment for both men and women is not exclusively tied to being married. Maybe Reverend Sisters who have opted not to be married in your context are living the most unfulfilled life because they are not being validated by being married to a man.

So limit it to "some women" and don't generalize it because it is a dangerous mindset.

IT'S YOUR NATURE AND NOT THAT OF OTHERS IN THE WORLD.

A WOMAN WHO KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING DOESN'T NEED MARRIAGE TO BE FULFILLED AND HAPPY.

BUT YOU WON'T KNOW THIS BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT A WOMAN THAT KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING.

Having a kid by herself isn’t having a piece of a man. Unless she maintains a romantic relationship with the man while he’s involved with other women too. Then she’s sharing and that’s what a piece is. You can ask those in polygamous unions if to them that’s better than being single. I’m sure everyone will have different answer based on what they have been programmed to see as “okay or not okay“.

Answer to your question from my perspective is. “Zero is far better than half.”

Even the married ones are living unhappily with a lot of deep sadness, unfulfilled dreams, needs and wants.
Marriage cannot be the answer to sadness or unhappiness
Each person has to find their own happiness, as it differs for everyone.

If she cannot find her ideal man, and loves children, she can marry one of the available men just for baby making purposes. If he stresses her in the marriage, of course she'd know what to do.

Marriage is not for everybody, some are eunuch by themselves, some by men. It's better you discover where you belong. Marriage is honorable when you get it right, when you are in the wrong marriage, it's death. Better to be single and happy than to be married and sad.

Patient and Prayerful till when now? At 41 years old?
Ti a ba fi ogun odun pinle were, ojo wo gan lo fe wo oja - If a man takes 20 years to prepare for displaying madness, then when exactly will he fully enter the market naked.
All the way from 25-40 years of age, she hasn't been patient and prayerful enough, is it now that she has just 4 years to menopause that she will now get it right?
Never you say Marriage is overhyped abeg, because you failed in that area of your life doesn't make it a yard stick to rubbish others.
You also talked about timing, that people shouldn't rush others because there is time for everything.
Look, there is time for everything but it doesn't mean you can't do it other time.
The ideal time to be in Primary school is between 5 - 12 anything outside that will likely lead to mockery.
Can you still go to primary school at the age of 15 years? Ofcourse Yes but you will look Odd in the class and among your mates.
They will be calling you Bro and you may likely be seating at the back of the class.
Can you enter secondary school at the age of 30? Yes. Is it the ideal time? No. Your class mates will regularly be mocking you and give you different nicknames just because that is not the ideal time.
Can you plant crops in Dry season around December? Yes. Is it the ideal time? No. Because it will take extra energy, time, resources, irrigation etc to farm the same land you would have done easily at the ideal time of raining season not to talk of poor harvest and more prone to diseases attack and pest.
See, in life, there is ideal time for everything even though you can still do it outside this period But why not make the hay when the sun shines.
A stitch in time, saves nine.
