@weigher,

No, he probably might be gamble with your money, reason being that he works for US embassy not for the federal Govt that wants to send some people on a training, more so, such visa type demands that the applicants be present for a visa interview and subsequently thumb print before a visa can be issued.

The whole premises is quite unusual with red flag written all over the body.

@ suxes. u did not answer my question
i am asking if applying for one day conference is ok
or shld i go for a conference with longer days?

thanks

I'm sorry I did not get the questions earlier.

IMHO, applying for 1day conference aint good.
I will suggest you apply for at least 3-day conference
that is still better (2-day conf is good too).

Plus make sure you get the receipt of payment of your
conference before you go for your visa interview

@baby:
Honestly, I think the probability of getting a visa is low, If you husband is goin due to work, then why are you following him, ?? PLus you have alot of things working against you, but look when you get there, just dont look nervous and be articulate, explain that you would just like to go with your husband , Honestly, I dont see you getting it though, Goodluck

on a seperate note:

GUYS, WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE
http://kenariesng.com/

This guy uses the "kenforum" username. If you check his website, you will see a very elaborate information and it looks worthy, but HE DOESNT HAVE A TEAM, it is just ONE OFFICE SPACE THAT IS TINY AND ONE SECRETARY,

This guy claims to be an expert, He just dooped me of 650,000 naira. I am a student at St. kitts and He claimed he knows all the laws and requirements to travel to St. kitts without a transit visa, Needless to say , i was returned home after 5 days in the air and after paying 650,000, We are finding it hard to get a refund from him, THE trip was VERY STRESSFUL, I WAS ROUTED THROUGH THE WRONG PATH AND NEEDLESS TO SAY, he was CRYING WHEN MY DAD DEMANDED FOR A REFUND, PLEASE GUYS, DO NOT USE "kenforum", DO NOT USE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just get yourself a transit visa and save yourself from dubious people like him.

Mennnn, I am tired of Nigeria, people are just too dubious,

PLEASE AGAIN, DO NOT use this service, Do NOT CALL THIS NUMBER EITHER, HERE IS HIS NUM 08037060650

I HATE NIGERIA, I am Nigerian but lived in the U.S for over 16 years, I HATE NIGERIA, WE ARE TOO DUBIOUS, oh my goodness

Suxes2006,

i have been going through ur previous posts ,and i commend u on the valuable information u have been giving to us, However  the following questions needs answers and your professional advice,

Am currently in American on a 2years B1/B2 visa which expires in less than four months time. Now should i fly back to Nigeria to Renew the visa, what are my chances? Am over 30yrs  of age and am still "SINGLE", besides the 2 usa visas on my passport (a J1  6months student work visa AND B1/b2 visa) were issued to me when i was a student in Europe,

However, this is the 3rd time of my coming to America and i have never overstayed. U may want to ask me if i have closer ties to Nigeria than the european country where i got  the visa, well "YES", i have closer ties to Nigeria in that i spent the whole of last yr in Nigeria besides my family has a landed property in form of a hospitality bizness (with the value of the Bizness, land and Building at over #60m)which i run with my mum.

In Addition to this, i have bought 3 Cars, about 20 computers(from Ebay) and phones which i have sent to Nigeria, (all recepts intact)

PLs what are your advise? my friend here intends to send me invitation letter, do i need any other document from him apart from this?

Also if i do go to book for appointment and interview say next month,Is it going to take long for interview to be conducted?,
PLS UR ADVISE IS IMPORTANT, , Thanks

First, visit www.ustraveldocs.com/ng .Its a tricky one.the fact that you have visited the US without overstaying is a plus but the fact that you are single is a negative. If he is sponsoring you,you will need his pay stubs etc .Now,do you have a good job in Nigeria? This might be critical in deciding whether or not you will be issued with visa.

Re: Usa Visit Visa by FASTLINK1: 2:41pm On Feb 03, 2012
Hello Mr.

You need B1/B2 visa first to visit and if you are able to get the job then you can come back and get the required work permit visa unless she's gotten the job already for you and hence should send the required papers from the employer to you.
You can find information / requirement for this on www.ustraveldocs.com/ng.
Thank you

Good day all,
My cousin was issued a 2 year multiple B1/B2 visa to visit America and the visa expires in December 2012. The question is, when he applies for a renewal of the visa , do the U.S embassy grant a 10year visa or a 2year visa?

How una meet una sef no go helep you atall, make u no talkam, e go back fire.

you have to go for tourist visa and be sure you have enough money in your account, you can also use student visa if you intend to further your education there.

whatever you do, make sure you don't sound desperate.

Re: Usa Visit Visa by FASTLINK1: 6:30pm On Feb 03, 2012
Sorry dear, I don't have messenger installed on my device.
You can send me mail, though from all indications, you don't have problems atall, just let them know that you do shopping in US. Since you and your mom are the ones managing the busines, I don't see the reason why they'd not give you a 2yrs B1/B2 VISA, and since yours is renewal, just make sure you have all the receipts of the things you bought.
You can send your application to Abuja office.

Thank you

Thanks Fast links for all ur Quick response. Well I'm ruining my Business, here is my website. www.imageshutters.shutterfly.com. So what do u think i will need since i don't Receive a Particular Amount Per month. And what is my Chance of getting the Visa between my Current Status Or trying to make some Deport into my Account from Another Company Account and makes it looks as if I'm earning Salary.
Re: Usa Visit Visa by FASTLINK1: 9:09pm On Feb 05, 2012
Hello man, you must not be a salary earner to be eligible for visa, you can present any account as long as their is a regular flow of income ( in and out).

You stand a good chance of getting a visa as long as you don't present your case as a frustrated individual trying to run away from his home country, and beside nobody is gonna arrest you, at worst you'd be denied a VISA which you can always reapply for plugging up the leakages in your end and hence be the custodian of the first hand information to your similar case.

my cousin was denied a visa today. He applied to visit Baltimore as a tourist, having mentioned that even though his brother, who's also a US citizen resides in South Carolina- he'd rather spend 10 days in maryland (where he'd visited as a kid)

Please I'd kike to know the procedure for filing an appeal. Also, which is effective- pushing through an attorney here, or incorporating his sibling in US to fortify this suit. Thanks

Hello, is it compulsory to book 60 days appointment for visit/tourist visa or can i go for any available slot?
Re: Usa Visit Visa by olady: 1:53pm On Feb 08, 2012
Hello All,
My cousin just told me his passport has not been given to him yet. After the interview at the U.S embassy for a visiting visa to America last week thursday, he was given a green ticket to go pick up his passport in Ikeja and given that Monday was a national holiday, he went to the office on Tuesday (2 business after his interview as he was told by the interviewing officer) but his passport was not ready. He has since been checking online and the status he's gotten is The current status of your passport is Origination Scan. When he calls the collection center up until today, they told him his passport is still not ready.
Has anyone had an experience like this before? Also, I want to confirm that he has been issued the visa and its just the processing that takes time if not i guess he wouldn't be given a green ticket and/or he would have been told he was denied after the interview.

Great Nairalanders please help, he's been having sleepless nights regarding this situation!

There is nothing like appeal when it comes to
USA visit visa to the best of my knowledge. Let him
re-apply and like you said, he's been to usa before right?

He needs to exercise some patience.Although, visas are normally ready after two businees days, computer program errors or mistakes in application could cause some delay.Let him keep track by calling them.He should get his visa soon.
