While the comments by Maigoro are unecessary and uncalled for, there's no need for comparison. More than 80% of indigenous companies in Nigeria were founded by graduates of public Universities.The list is endless. We should all see ourselves as partners in progress.

This guy mentioned the ages when things are right. Mention one notable graduate of Nigeria public university that has contributed to the growth of economy, business, infrastructure, science and tech in the last 15 years till date when most private uni were springing up?

Private universities are always quick to antagonise the obvious - incompetency in their schools.

Except for few of them, most of this school are only after profit and most student goes there solely because they can't scale through public school requirements and only few attend due to no-strike advantage.

If I'm given opportunity to start school again and choose between a private university or public university, save convenant and few private uni I'll choose a public university again.

You have never been in private schools my brother. Only lazy, unserious and low IQ students graduates with third class anywhere. Get this, someone that does not serious in public uni can't be better in private uni.
A 2.1 graduate in public uni might be a first class in private due to serene learning and reading environment and nothing more and this also makes Nigeria international student perform better abroad.

You people are the one rubbishing our educational system by going on strike, not teaching well, no practical of any form to back up class room teaching, victimization of students etc. Private is much more better than both federal and state put together.

A 3rd class graduate here in Nigeria can make 2:1 in American and European universities. Does that mean they are dashing people marks it just means that they have good learning environment with practicals not just theory like Nigerian public universities. they provide good learning environment just like schools abroad and lecturers don't bully students around and no stupid cultism or strikes. I prefer private universities until govt does a massive restructuring of public universities
