Oga she doesn't need all those heavy utensils. Let me give examples. A dozen of plastic flat plates #1,800, small pot for stew #800, a dozen of spoon #300, A bag of satchet water #300, 2tubers of yam #1,600, Potato #1,000, Plantain #1,500, a table and bench #7,500, firewood #1,500. Rough estimate for all these #16,300. Don't know the price of that big umbrella. But if you are using gas your estimate might increase. Just trying to help her start cause she doesn't need to start on a big scale. As the business progresses you can start adding other things. Hope it helps

There is no fix amount, it all depends on the quantity you want to start with. What is more important is utensils and oil, sauce ingredients and the tubers you can start with small quantities. If you sell much that means you need to make more.

Get the cost of your utensils and oil first. Let that be the bases of your budget. Anywhere in Nigeria 2k is enough to buy yam and potatoes

Abeg make una no dey deceive person with all these estimations. Even 50k no go start the business well. The road side you no go build shade or na for under sun people go dey chop? That's if you no go arrange shop ooo.
Na for one small bench customers go sit-down dey chop? If the roadside no be front of your house you think say you go just go anywhere put shop begin dey sell? Every space get owner either private or government and you must dey pay small thing.
Then think of the stress to dey carry your things to and fro everyday, because you no go leave them for road side. The matter look simple and cheap but e hard oooo. Just budget like at least 200k to start small if no be for your house you wan start am.
