Why have you decided on yam and potato?

Besides equipment costs, what else have you considered? Have you scouted locations? If you know where to be and when, you might make more money in a few hours than some people make all week.

You also might want to look at alternatives for product. Consider offering something no one else is, or find a way to deliver a traditionally pricier item on the cheap. Maybe sell certain things depending on the deal you can negotiate around that time. That's another thing to look into; suppliers. There's all sorts of things you can do there, like getting cheap stuff from the market that they're about to throw away (expires next day, not "pretty" enough to sell, unpopular item, or etc), or taking leftovers trucked in to sell to other people (not enough to sell for any real money).
