Over 80% of the looters in the BLM protest were blacks. We know the truth hurts but we shouldn't shy away from it.
can you prove this?

When you see and read stuff like this about a nation supposedly better than a former giant of Africa, you just simply become speechless and lost for words...

Can there ever be hope for Africa and Africans?!!... This is just tiring! What a continent!!! undecided

Very lazy set of people.
They have obviously turned this into a social strata war, anyone who is doing better than them is hence perceived an enemy .
Chia who do black man this kind strong thing

Just imagine how they are embarrassing themselves.

The words in bold sum it all up... Exact same thing that played out during the hijack of the Endsars protest.

There is nothing as dangerous as stupidity and poverty combined!

The reason why they are rioting is simple.

In Africa, everything is by 'who you know'. With Zuma out of the way because of his corrupt activites, a large segment of the crowd ritoing have lost that 'who you know'...that can help them get government jobs and benefits.

Add the fact that South Africa is, like Nigeria, and most African countries, a resource dependent nation, who sells diamonds, platinum, etc...and shares the money among their people.

These people are rioting because they are angry over the loss of their share of the national cake.

Understand that, and you will understand why people rioted in the North of Nigeria in 2011 over Buhari losing, or why most Southerners are still so bitter and angry over GEJ losing in 2015.

You don't see that kind of nonsense in developed countries because the government is not dependent on extractive industries for revenue...rather more on manufacturing industries. So, the average developed country's politician's job is to make sure everything works there so that manufacturing can continue unabated. Here in Africa...just keep the oil running, while we share the money....and don't make anything. No industries, no jobs....more idle hands for satan's workshop

Stop misleading people, check fact before posting. A quick search on the industry that brings the most money to South Africa would have been helpful rather than disgracing yourself.

The major sector of the economy is finance, real estate and business services, which contributes around 22% to GDP. Its is followed by general government services at 17%, and then the sector of wholesale, retail and motor trade, catering and accommodation at 15%. Manufacturing is fourth, at 14%.

Is that why he is silent on the ongoing and daily killings in Kaduna? If people are talking something reasonable, don't be bringing Buhari into it

Not that Nigerians are any better. Just take a look at how much time and energy some commenters on here spend defending Buhari's sloth and incompetence simply because they see him as one of "their own", even though the it is the north that has suffered the worst from insecurity and economic stagnation under Buhari's watch. The tribalistic "awa pikin right or wrong" mentality is an Africa-wide disease.

The thing is most of the black population is not in a position to take part in the economy...one of the side effects of arphateid (read up about Bantu educaiton and how it deprived generations of black people of genuine education)

So, they rely on handouts from government, hence my comment.

Also, when during the last election, the candidate of the opposition DA is making a comment about South Africa becoming resource dependent, something's up.

At the end of the day, Trump winning or losing has no effect on the job prospects., or money making abilities of the average American.

Especially as the US is an economy that depends on industrial growth, not on selling raw materials, and sharing the money.

Short version: US is not Africa.

No, what you are seeing is the legacy of arphateid.

For several decades, most black people could not get decent education that would have enabled them to take a full part in the economic glories of South Africa. The white minority did not want black competitors.

Nearly 30 years of black majority rule has not been enough to reverse the damage done.
