Good morning everyone, I received my bvl about a week ago and since then I’ve not gotten any mail. It’s been really worrisome. What step is advisable for me to take. I’m an April 29th applicant

Don't worry; the decision mail will drop; you don't need to do anything now. Just wait and hope for the best, and by God's grace, it would be PPR.

Two MPs (including Minister of Immigration, Marco Mendicino) have helped check the status of my application. One on June 12, the other August 18 and both of them confirmed that medicals/background check are passed, my legibility is in process and decision is yet to be made. However, my profile didn't say Eligibility has started.

I submitted my application April 8 and requested for GCMS notes on July 5. Till now, I have not received the notes. The vendor assisting me with it was sent a mail after several follow-ups that it was ready last week Friday and it'd be sent shortly. Till today, no note still.

My question is... What could be wrong with those ATIP people? It's just GCMS note for Christ sake!
Please can you help with Marcelino email address?

Hi,

Since the 1st of April 2021, I've been a silent reader on Nairaland. I learned about web-forms, e-mailing MPs (which I did), and even the official email address to contact for updates using this platform.

My application was approved this morning after nearly 5 months of checking my e-mail every day and sending multiple web-forms. God takes all the glory on this one.

I have a Bsc. in Computer Technology from BU but applied for an Advanced Diploma Business Admin course at Seneca College and my application was approved. It happens to be a three year course btw! This means it's very possible to apply for a diploma even with a Bsc.
My mother is my sponsor and note this, i supplied a fixed deposit investment from a reputable Microfinance bank (alongside an access bank statement of account). 95% of the monies were with the MFB. I also supplied my company bank statement with SCB.

I also supplied the following :
1. Lease agreement i had secured with a student residence on campus.
2. SOP written by my (edited by God grin) , explaining my career path and study purpose. As a footwear designer, i included a catalogue of my designs, CAC documents and also attached my CV.
3. Sponsorship letter from my mum narrating my business achievements and why she chose to support me further.

Overall, I believe God's favor was at work here because I've seen many more qualified people be turned down! What God cannot do does not exist!

Keep praising God in anticipation, you are next !

Congratulations!!!
Go and prosper

Hi ManlikeDee,

Read through the link below as published on the IRCC web to guide you on the necessary documents to prepare for your study permit application. Please note that you would need to prepare a Letter of Explanation or Statement of Purpose. This will be an important document which you would have to submit with your application. These documents would summarise more details about yourself and helps the visa officer understand you better. It is a document that would speak for you in your absence. Just like an in-person interview is conducted at the US embassy for prospective students. For Canada, your letter of explanation does the speaking .

The link below will guide you on important points that should be included in your letter of explanation or statement of purpose. You can conclude this with wordings that " you understand your responsibility as a student" and develop on that.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/get-documents.html.

Also, please go through the below thread to guide you on more information :

https://www.nairaland.com/6321900/canadian-student-visa-thread-part

Credit to Luckymama and justwise.

Yes, you can submit your student copy as long as your school registrar stamps it.

All the best.

Dear Testimonytime,
Yes you are right, I'm in my late 40s (48 to be precise). That goes to show that age isn't a barrier.
I wish you all the best and hope to read your good news very very soon.
I see there's a new thread already. You will surely testify here shortly in Jesus name!
What God cannot do does not exist!

Testimonytime:
Mamatee, from what I can see, you are not in your 30’s judging with ur children’s achievements, can you tell us your age to encourage those older generations here?
Sorry to ask for this, but this is to ginger me too being 43 already.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi @shupy and @Lekiboboe
Pls, I need u guys to respond.
I was advised by shupy and justmellow that my sponsor (my uncle) should send some amounts to my account for my living expenses.
Is it better for him to do a deed gift of 3million, or he should just send it to my account like that?
Secondly, in order to prove home ties with a landed property, should my mum (co-sponsor) do a deed gift of her landed property, or I should just use it as home ties while the property is in her name?
Pls, you can as well give me some sentences to prove home ties with a landed property.
I will edit as well. I'm good at that.
Thanks a lot.
I have absolutely no idea how highly regarded a gift of deed is in a VO's point of view. However, It's better if the property is in your home. It shouldn't be your main home tie. I didn't submit any landed property documents. Your main home tie should be career prospects in your home country. Don't emphasize too much on the property ownership. Just mention you own one and it was gifted to you by your mum.
