Your research lacks bases. The five people u have just mentioned are still behind in terms of earthly wealth measurement.
If u are talking about riches,u mention pastors with the largest congregation in the country-The likes of PAPA ADEBOYE and DR D.K.OLUKOYA.
Make further research.
I didnt mention people like UMA OKPAI

It just might happen that most of those riches can be traced to those same "politicians eating your money". So does it change anything knowing that most of the money owned by the pastors is really YOUR money?

i just dont think it is right for them to acquire material crazily. a modest home of 3 bedrooms and things you need is okay. what's with the swimming pool and Aircraft anyway when there are nice beaches and planes all over the place  undecided let's say they got rich from selling their books etc why not donate those spoils to the society?

many kids around the world, Nigeria, US, UK, etc go to bed hungry and we have pastors getting rich and building huge home here on earth smh, sad sad.

All those mentionning ADEBOYE , looks like u forget one thing!!, the people mentioned above OWN those ministries, they started it. In Adeboyes case he DOESNT own redeem neither did he start the ministry. He is only the General Overseer. Hence the church money doesnt belong to him.!!

If only everyone on the list could be like T.B Joshua and give out more of the bounty to the needy.
You can't blame a person for criticising a MOG when he owns private jets and mansions all over the world.
Re: Forbes: The Five Richest Pastors In Nigeria by nogames: 4:50pm On Jun 09, 2011
Nigeria pastorsssssssss, hnmm no wonder Jesus said my father,s  house shall be called house of prayer but it as been turned to den of robbers.
EVERYBODY will account for his or her life but be for THE DAY , this is my advise

DO NOT ALLOW ANY BODY TO MAKE MERCHANDISE OF YOU.

most of these pastors went to missionaries school free of charge then,  but their own school were meant for only rich and affluence,

They are the cause of this mess we find ourselves as a Nation, or what can we say when pastors were preaching on TV that
they were been called to make people rich (financial breakthrough).

Any salvation that is not well rooted in the word of God can never withstand test of time, faith of most of there converts were based on material things

ANYWAY LET WAIT AND SEE WHAT BECOME THEIR END. GOD CAN NOT BE MOCKED

Sisi_Kill:

"Turned a profit"

I'm sorry but what are they selling?

They sell a wide range of product mix.

The most popular products are the following chimeras:

Product A - Religious salvation

Product B - Miracles

Product C - Healing

Product D - Investment (Sowing Seed Fund - You invest your 1st month salary [called 1st fruit in that business sector] and get zero. Pastor and cohorts invests zero and get private jet)

Target market by segmentation:

Segment 1 - Mugus

Segment 2 - Cretins

Segment 3 - Foools

Segment 4 - Bloody illiterates

Segment 5 - Bloody gullible, desperate so-called literates

Very lucrative business.

@sagamite Stop chatting stewpid crap!

The people keep on waiting and hoping for their "personal miracle" while the pastor quickly gets his private jet.

You are really dumb for believing Adeboye and his deceitful rant of talking with God.

Sagamite, are you a TRUE Christian? Do you know any thing about Pastor Adeboye? Have you ever had a personal contact with him? Every order may be craving for wealth through any means possible but, not Adeboye. Look, do you think that, Pastor Adeboye does not know the implication of the sin against the Holy Spirit? Remember, the sin against the Holy Spirit is the ONLY sin without forgiveness. Mark 3:29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin (RSV) Mark 3:28-29 28 "Assuredly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies they may utter; 29 "but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is subject to eternal condemnation" (NKJV)

So, be careful. For your information, if you think that Pastor Adeboye is always speaking from his head any time you hear him say "The Lord Said", and you based your concept on this as deceitful, I will live you to God to judge you. Or are you thinking that Pastor Adeboye takes pride in relating what God says to him? Please, if you have any grudge against any pastor because of your personal encounter with them, why not just mention the pastor and what such pastor did to you.
Whether this story has any thing to do with Forbes or not, that Pastor Adeboye was missing from the list should tell that, the rating of Adeboye is by HEAVENLY standard, not the show of fame we see these days from the so called pastors. I am a REDEEMER by the grace of God and I can tell at least, a little of what I know about ADEBOYE.

RELIGION AND HYPOCRISY IN NIGERIA
Wonder why Nigeria, a religious nation with bountiful resources is failing? The reason is not far fetched from hypocrisy. About 90% of Nigerians are either Christians or Muslims, yet we live as if God lives far away. A walk able street has at least five different churches, and Christians never miss services, crusades and vigil, yet corruption is the order of the day. A nation where people respect and fear their religious leaders more than God, where is the place of God? The answer is evident in what they do.

Nowadays, pastors emphasize more on miracles, tithes and offerings rather than true righteousness and the kingdom of God- the more the people, the more the tithes and the richer the pastor becomes. A nation where pastors and their wives have police escorts, I wonder if they believe in “the Lord is my shepherd?” It is so saddening that people fight for positions in churches; the poor are giving little or no attention while the rich are exalted. The people we find in our churches and mosques are the same people we find in our society that is corrupt.

With all these, the ordinary man will do anything possible to get rich at all cost just to be counted among. Altitudinal change is what we need in Nigeria. This should be preached and observed in our churches, mosques, offices, schools, homes, markets and on our streets. It starts with you!

Don't mind those who are talking ignorantly, you guys are right on point!!! Don't forget the Bible says , "people perish for lack of knowledge"(Hosea 4:6) If these ignorant critics (no apologies) knew better, they would do better and talk better. "The just shall live by his OWN faith"; not according to how people think he should live.

Enjoy God & His Blessings that make Rich & adds no sorrow with it! CHEERS,
if you dont mind pls stop turning the bible upside down both you kennyisaac, hbabe and co should go back and read your bibles, when the bible talks about people perishing for lack of knowledge it is about people who deify MOG they are MEN OF  not GOD.secondly we are all annointed men and women of GOD.
go and read what hebrews 4;14 said and also in 1st corinthians dont remember the chapter now,the lord has given us complete liberty and he has said we should approach his throne with all confidence.
go and see what apostle paul enjoins timothy and the rest of the apostles to do with church money,he told them to share it and distribute amongst widows and the poor and infirmed he further said widows who are still young are permitted to re marry.

why didnt jesus christ use his ministry money to buy a great white horse or couldnt he afford it?
why didnt apostle paul use the money donated for the work of the gospel to get proper nice chariots,a nice house and stuffs?
there is nothing wrong in enjoying GOD and his blessings but it is morally wrong when a congregation cannot feed and the head of the congregation is diplaying wealth ostentiously.
are you telling me pastor oyedepo's 29 yrs old son is the most qualified pastor in winners to head the london church?
can you justify the 4 jets when  there are members of winners chapel who cant afford 3 square meals never mind a bicycle?
wouldnt it be nice for the pastor to use the funds for the private jet and buy maybe 100,000 keke marwas and give it out to the less well off or use the money to set deserving members up for business

stop confuing yourself sire, pastor adeboye or any MOG for that matter are not the same as the holy spirit unless you are ascribing  a power to them that the bible has not given them.go and check acts of the apostle apostle paul said if you want to bring allegations agains a leader in the body of christians get two or three witnesses and in front of the church elders lay out the allegations

i am also a redeemer as well of many many years,my uncle is a redeemed pastor as well not withstanding anywhere i see the truth i will not shy away from speaking it as long as i am justified before GOD.
jesus christ was a young man when he came upon people defiling the temple of GOD,he did not say "let me leave them because i dont want to touch GOD's annointed"he knew he was justified and he took action.redeemed and pastor adeboye are not doing enough for the less well off members and i certainly dont agree with him buying a private jet a it is not justified.
apostles used their feet to walk the places our MOGS are flying over with private jets.
go and find out who john g lake is ok? 13 of his fellow missionaries starved to death or died of tropical sicknesses in different parts of africa while they were sharing the gospel.
the same africa that our pastors are flying all over with private jets.
john g lake was doing miracles you have not heard of till today but he gave up millions and was borrowing money to get on a train

Just a puzzling thought though, are these guys still preaching 'the heavenly bound hope'? if yes, are they planning on jetting to heaven and taking all these glitz with them shocked. What was it again about building up treasures in heaven where whatever it is cannot eat them up. Me i no sabi book ooo, but something tells me that being stupe.ndously rich amidst abject poverty would not depict what Jesus would have done. Paul teh apostle did not spend all his time acquiring wealth, when last i checked, he dropped off from making mega bucks as a lawyer trained under Gamaliel to make three horrible trips in the course of saving souls and the holy books says he was a tent weaver with Acquilah and Priscilla.

However, Na dem sabi. If them see my N1.00 make them sabi say i be craze man. The rest, i leave for history and those who are led and will further be led by the nose. hbabe, i no mention ya name ooo tongue
