tommy589: Yeah, the other brands that used to compete with Fan in the '70s and '80s are no longer doing so well. Parmalat and Sona became very popular in Nigeria around 1986/1987 and then they disappeared in the early 1990s. Parmalat is an Italian brand, but I don't know who brought it to Nigeria. Sona now run a brewery called Sona Breweries. |

Since they are assets, they would appreciate and be worth far more today than in 1991. That is the power of investments. nedekid: 2 Likes |

This Queen Cole septuagenarian has done a damn good job exposing the bad eggs in the trustees business. But I am a little curious where are the family members? Why are they not speaking out? Queen Cole said she was a Goddaughter to Bank Anthony. It seems to me she was more than that. I think she was more like a side chick who had privileged information and is intelligent and strong-willed enough to call these hyenas to order. If she shakes the tree long and hard enough not only she but BA descendants will benefit as well. There is a lesson involved in this- when chosing a side chick pick one with some brain because when all the sex and the attraction is gone, you might still need her to speak for you even when you are long gone like BA 3 Likes |

carterguccy: Bro you are right no sentiment in this. Last Tuesday precisely I happened to visit a man house bro that man is money bag I saw machines in series I mean real machines this man was talking on phone mentioning *50million dollars* like 50 million naira bro I never hear of him or seen this man before bro if you enter that compound no need to ask question, surprisingly he is a Yoruba man from Ondo state precisely when I started asking about him I realised he owned some big popular orgsnization in Nigeria and around the world. However, Nigerians are very rich individually silent billionaires who make no noise. But Bank Anthony fumbled why did he refused to leave something fir his children nah? 1 Like |

frog12: How can you say that Nigeria does not remember him when the Federal Government disobeyed his wishes (he did not like publicity) and named the road to the airport in Lagos after him. Have you never heard of Sir Mobolaji Bank-Anthony Way?? How can you say that Nigeria does not remember him when he donated the biggest maternity unit to the government in 1990. That same unit was renovated by Governor Ambode and the renovated unit was commissioned by President Buhari in 2019. It is named after his mother, "Ayike House". He was praised many times in 2019 for donating that facility in 1990. How can you say that Nigeria and Nigerians do not remember him when he gave scholarships to many people and adopted so many people and made them his children. One of them made headlines a few years ago when she talked about it in a newspaper interview. How can you really say that Nigeria has forgotten about him?? 7 Likes 2 Shares |

i don tell you. i only know him street name. even that name is no longer mentioned in advertisements again. the reason for these is they did not invent or manufacturer anything popular in their names. all of them, louis ojukwu, awolowo, mko abiola. naptu2: |
