Good day everyone. Please I wanna ask a question. For someone that was denied recently, should I click on previously denied or regular? I wanna reapply and I need a date

Just as you mentioned, "recently denied" a visa, which means previously denied. False information on your application is grounds for another denial. So choose the right option.

If you're man enough, mention me on another thread let's begin there. That will be the beginning of the end of your life. I'm not seeking for F1 visa, I'm still a 200 level student here in Nigeria with the goal to pursue my graduate degree in the US. You don't own Yankee and Yankee doesn't have late comer. You absolutely don't know anything about US Visa, please allow sane person to keep the thread afloat.

Leftrightcenter:

I am not a visa guru or a VO but with my limited knowledge, giving the above responses to any VO will almost certainly land you in visa denial, expect you're just joking with the above responses you intend to give.
Why will you tell the VO that your purpose of choosing a school was because of the cost? Even if you have to say such (which I don't believe is advisable, that should be on the bottom of the lists). In VO mind, what happened to obtaining the same degree from your home country or other countries with cheaper COA.

To add salt to the wound, you said you will work while schooling! As international student, you are not expected to work outside the campus and even the on campus work is limited to 20 hours per week during academic session. Even if you intend to work on campus, you shouldn't say it. With your responses, you've already signalled the VO that you will abuse your visa or even abandon your studies or become a public charge to the US, especially considering the fact that you probably took student loan.

Also, your post study plans are not strong and convincing. Eg you should are expected to come back after your studies and not 'aspire to come...'

In summary, your transcript needs total overhauling to prevent the imminent certainty of visa denial.

Thank you so much

Please is it advisable to mention a degree on DS-160 (MBA) that was not mentioned during the school application due to its non relevance to the proposed course?

It is never recommended. You can only indicate the course/program to which you were admitted by the school you will attend. False info in/on your application is strongly not advised.

Thanks but not sure you understood the question. This person said he only indicated B.A in his school application because the Masters applied for is in languages. But he is wondering if he can include his MBA in his visa application since it will explain the gap in his education from BA till date.

Include the applicant's MBA degree on the DS-160 if the applicant indeed has an MBA. It is not uncommon for one to change courses or career trajectories over time. However, the applicant should be willing to convincingly articulate to the VO why they want to go for the proposed course despite already having an MBA and the lack of relevance this degree has to their new course or program.

Hey 🤠

@coluwabe.

1. To me, the major reason i could deduced that caused your F-1 visa denial is " Pre-Memorized Transcripts (answers ) which you even did in a wrong way.

2. Naturally , University undergraduate students does not really deal directly with Professors, but in your answers, you put too much emphasis (mentions) on professors as if you are a graduate student , even an Msc student s relationship with a professor cannot be compare to that of a PhD applicant not to talk of a Bsc student .

3. Also , your answer to : Why did you choose University of St. Thomas is not reasonable and convincing enough because you can easily make friends in any institution and it seems your main goal is to go and worship a particular Professor which is even out of focus for an undergraduate student .

4. Another debacle is your graduation plan answer which is ; to work with the National Institute of Medical research. Did you have any employment Bond contract with NIMR ? Your Post-graduation plan should be straight Msc or to help develop family business or to apply for STEM-MBA, or after the compulsory NYSC etc.

5. The consular who interrupted your interview was a senior officer (my personal reasoning ) because they don't usually interrupt an ongoing interview except in the case they want to verify something together . I think that officer signaled your inability to qualify to your interviewer.

6. You gave little info on " Who are your Sponsors ? This denotes that you have combined different sponsors (according to your Form I-20) because the question is supposed to be " Who is (not are).

7. Someone needs to study your over all profiles and presentations. Communication training is your no 1 , follows by DS-160 information.

Best Wishes 🙏

1. You only wrote here that you applied for an Msc , then you used uncle as your sponsor and then ? There is nothing bad in applying for an Msc or using uncle as sponsor .

2. If your visa has been denied before , or you think you have mixed up somethings in your applications then those situation is what you should tell us.

3. Any good observer must review your DS -160 , program of study , your work history , marital status, age, visa histories etc before giving you the best opinion .

Hey 🤠

1. That consular who interviewed you is more or less a human resources manager (in the area of interviewing) and he or she might wonder your salary of 900k in a larger organisation, but if you are a human resources manager at OyotunjiUSA Blocks Industry then that 900k salary might be justified .

2. I am even thinking that why not opt for STEM-MBA instead of Msc in Business Admin ? Your current job as a professional human resources manager (Google it) is galloping away from commonplace business ideas .

3. Nigeria academic standards and curriculum is well respected worldwide, therefore why not (consular thinking) do your Msc in Business Admin at Covenant University ? UniLaG, Unilorin, UNN, Yabtech or Abti-American University in Yola ?

4. Your employer should have even supported or sponsored your academic sojourn instead of combining yourself with your mom. Or why leaving an average paid job quickly without rising to a good position before deciding to go and study in the USA (perhaps) with insufficient funds ?

5. Even with your mom's profile (as narrated by you) , she is supposed to be capable financially to sponsor your education hence, the consular thinks you are not being honest in your application stories .

6. Quoting you she (your mom) is a fabric merchant who imports cloths from china, Vietnam etc and i gave more details...

** I can arrive to the conclusion that you communicated with the consular as an applicant who has memorized the answers ahead of time .

7. I am still laughing 😂 quoting you thus ;

I wrote a letter to my school concerning the refusal and my school approved they will send me supporting letter so that i can give the USA embassy officer on my next visa interview.

8. If you are talking of a letter that will allow you to resume late to school as a result of your inability to secure another Form I-20 or appointment date, then that is understandable. but refering to a help letter to influence embassy decision " Don't even think about it.

9. Re-application immediately makes you a kind of financially buoyant , a serious and determined student , gives you opportunity to cement (may be the 1st consular was wrong) embassy decision etc which i usually recommend.

10. But to you, why not defer to Spring 2025 and if possible chose another program of study ? You have many lapses to correct . But if you are determined you may go ahead .

How can you be replying yourself?

Creating too many accounts to ask yourself questions and reply yourself is the height of the madness.

No one will contact you this scammer agent that doesn't have any other work apart from looking for people to scam on Nairaland.

The end to your activities is near.

The signatures are adding up. Let's make this a reality

So, I created a petition that seeks to end the rip-off IELTS keeps perpetrating with the 2-year validity of their test results, particularly for high scorers who scored btw Band 8-9. Surely, someone who got a band 9 shouldn't, wouldn't, couldn't have lost the skill that earned him/her a band 9 after two years.

Pls join the petition and let's make this change happen. Share across all platforms, as millions stand to benefit.

Lifetime validity of test results!

Hello Everyone,

A big thank you to those that have kept this thread alive.

I have a challenge and it goes thus:

My program start date is 19th Aug 2024 while my Visa appointment date is 30th Sept 2024.

The US Visa team sent early appointment date for May but before I reschedule it was all gone. After which I paid my Sevis and applied for EA but I was denied..

My question now is:

Does the visa office release early appointment dates for 1st time visa applicants EVERY MONTH or is it a one-off opportunity that only happened in May?

And what is the best decision I can make deferring my admission is last resort for me.

You wasted the Emergency appointment slot. You're supposed to request for emergency appointment on June 19 which is 60days to your resumption date. Hopefully, you should get a new date in June or July. Keep hope alive.

Hello,
So, this is it
I am in a WhatsApp group that makes it sound very impossible to get a visa with full sponsorship. They say you have to get funding or support with your personal funds.

Well, reality:
1. This is my first time applying
2. I am 35yrs, single
3. Program: Msc Financial Economics.
4. Present qualifications: Bsc Economics, Chartered Accountant.
5. A brief of my work history: presently, I am a Senior Accountant in a university earning 170k monthly (worked for 3yrs), and I have worked in a pharmaceutical company before now, earning 100k (4yrs)
6. The uncle no be my real uncle sha.
7. The uncle sells computers hardwares.

The Lamba I want to create:
1. I am an orphan. My uncle is my mother's brother who has been responsible for me since age 5. So he is more to say, my father.
2. Before working at the University, I have worked in his firm while writing my professional exams. I decided to go to the University because I want to have a professional experience with a much more bigger and complex organization. This is because, our company (my uncles' is expanding).
3. For home ties: I will be coming back to take a role
As a financial controller in my uncle's firm as my uncle is looking to expand into asset management and consulting services, so I will be managing this part of the business. Also, I am in a serious relationship and will be coming back to build a family.
5. I also want to say, he has children who has schooled abroad and are managing different part of his business (but he has his details with the US Embassy and em children still small).
6. What I submitted for my I-20 was full sponsorship from his accont. Can I add (during the interview) that I will be supporting with my personal savings (maybe 10m) and give them a bank statement. (I hope it will not contradict my I-20, and I hope the money is enough sha). Since I cannot change my I-20
7. I want to add that the uncle is a software developer and sells accounting and management softwares to large firms.
8. This means I will have to change my Ds_160 and change some things on my LinkedIn in profile.
9. Please note that, there is a .minimum I can lie about my present place of work. If you just type my name on Google bayi, na my work place go first appear.
10. I want to increase my monthly income to 200k or 250k so it reflect my savings.

11.See ehn bro, I read and still reading the transcripts of nairaland (although far back as 2016 and 2017) and some people were given visa based on full sponsorship from their uncle or aunt. I don't know why this group wey I join just dey confuse me.

Hey 🤠

4. If you cannot state it here you may check my sign on profile .

Best Wishes🙏
