I originally quoted someone who said one didn't need Federal allocation to govern Lagos state. The ignorant fellow believed that Lagos had many industries, so that was proportional to the wealth of Lagos state.

But that was never the reality.

Before Tinubu, Lagos IGR was 600 million per month. However, public sector bill was 800 million per month.

What does the figure tell you?

That despite the industries, the headquarters of many businesses (foreign and local) being in Lagos, the state was dependent on Federal allocation. A big shame. This is what I describe as fiscal insanity. A problem all of the other states are still battling till this day.

The article I shared with you showed how Tinubu made reforms to the tax administration system.

After 8 years of Tinubu, Lagos was already financially independent.

Tinubu brought fiscal sanity to Lagos state.
