The EFCC and NDLEA are doing very well. But by the time cases reaches the court, Nigeria judiciary will set criminals free.

That means they're not doing well. They don't gather evidence

Good news

Very bad move

That will increase the scarcity, and the price will even increase faster

This is simple demand n supply game, people need this dollar n they will sought for it anyway.

What is CBN's policy on benchmarking the nation's currency against foreign currencies outside government's rate without approval. Is there any sanction against such action? Can such transactions be traced online? Is it a common practice everywhere? How is it done in places like Dubai, EU etc?

When people buy this dollar they cannot get from the bank or elsewhere have asked what do they normally use it for?
Some use it to pay for services abroad that demand use of dollar credit/debit cards
Some use it for payments of Tuition fee in UK,CANADA OR USA,

Formerly it was bank that does this for all Nigerians by setting our Naira debit card to be able to carry out web transactions to like 1000usd per day why bank sought the modalities afterwards but along the line things changed and it was permanently reduced to 20dollars per month. Then people start resoughting to black markets to sought their needs.
I wish to know why the Naira debit cards was placed on hold for paying intl transactions.

The best thing is to disband bureau de change operators and focus more on bank. Dollar will keep on rising as long as bureau de change are still allow to operate. Bank is an appropriate place for buying and selling of dollars for effective monitoring!

It was all because of greed!
It is only our country that practice this wicked system.

It is so bad now that even those earning dollars from remote jobs in our country are deliberately frustrated to get the dollars. As in these guys are bringing in the dollars and are still frustrated.

The sole reason why everyone are paying extremely high insane attention to the dollar is because of the huge gap between official rate and parallel market rate.

Their aim is to create a system were every other person can only get the dollars at the the inflated black market rate from the BDCs.

Either CBN stop giving banks USD, or create a database for accessing USDT. Anything other than this is a formality.

Banks are the ones calling ABOKIS when they get USDT from CBN. Aboki buys with interests and sells with interests. EFCC are suppose to raid banks, not ABOKIS!!

Create a platform for banks to adhere to and publish its customers who accessed USDT, ABOKIS will run out of business!

All the muscle flexing and actions of govt or its agencies on this Fx matter can best be described as window dressing or mere cosmesis. It will take us nowhere unless the fundamentals of fiscal policy and macroeconomics are addressed.
