LMAOOOO! Most foolish suggestion ever. You think humans can be trusted with $2000? Besides why would people be loosing out $200 every month on top of transfers when they are other ways of legit receiving money you're totally in control of.

10%, the same percentage with God (tithe).

Be like you're just waking up? So if you work for a company that pays its staff via paypal and you're the only one that is having issues with payment and you still want a full and functional company to bend it's process because of you? Think very well before you post on public forums.

Not just the company but an agency. He knows what I am referring to, so calm down. Andela, Toptal & other agencies do this.

Use Geegpay.
They are the best and they give black market rate.

Can Geegpay USD account receive payment from Payoneer?

I was using Grey.co's GBP account but those guys are scammers

I hear you. There are no perfect solutions but if you have the right people say like me and your business is legit, you will get your money lol. You just need more people like me. Seeing people commit suicide because of crypto around the world is enough warning ⚠️. Think wisely

samsard:
grin I have heard from people who's money got to our "kinsmen" abroad for payments but they ate it and never remitted. Crypto exchanges don't crash every day.
I think most freelancers would prefer to receive USD and change by themselves because you get the best conversion that way.
Losing 3% to withdrawal fees is distressing enough to someone like me, I can imagine that guy or any freelancer for that matter would be sorely pissed to lose 10% of their income monthly to an intermediary.

Lots of scammers here in the US pretending to run payment platforms for gullible Nigerians. Use someone you can hold accountable and start small before going big

Payoneer doesn't release your funds if not up to $5000. Isn't that a huge restraint? What if I'm getting paid only $2000? I have to wait to get $3000 more to get my money out... Not cool at all... Nothing is cool about Payoneer

Is this a recent development from Payoneer? Up until September this year, I was working a 1099 role that paid $600 weekly. I set up Payoneer to move those funds to my Zenith USD dom account. And I always got my funds within 24-48hrs less $15 transaction fee. And got the funds in USD always. Has this changed?

Everything has been said. You just have to keep moving and have multiple payment options.

Currently I have three dorm accounts, GeegPay and Payoneer. I get some funds directly to my dorm, I get some through GeegPay. I haven’t used Payoneer in a while.

It is not even the government, it is our reputation as a people. If you want to send money to Nigeria, the system over there would block it. To them they are protecting the sender from getting scammed, because which normal person sends money to Nigerians. embarassed

I remember when I started my first ever remote role. Employer wired funds to my Zenith. Their bank blocked it. They had to go to their bank and inform them that they had initiated funds transfer to my Nigerian bank account, that it wasn’t a scam and that they would be doing that monthly for the foreseeable future. The bank asked for proof of service rendered and they tendered my invoice (it’s an Independent Contractor role). Since then I have not had an issue receiving from them. They way I take hold on tight to them ehn, they won’t understand. Cos they actually went out of their way to get that done.

People have also lost money in the banking system. Whatever works.

True! There are ways around it but not many employers are willing to take up that stress. Some of them do not even know how to handle such financial transactions as they haven’t had the need to deal with an African, let alone a Nigerian. A few times you might meet an employer willing to make the employment period seamless for you - hold them tight and never repay them with dishonesty. My employer is one of them.

Na me be this o. The way my boss went out of the way to use crypto the tax implications from it means the taxes for using crypto has to be filled seperately. Others will just sack you once they see they need to do something special to pay you.

My advice to every and anyone is to go get a dom account. In $, €, £. If you make a good case, you can get your income paid directly into your dom. And you don't need to have a penny on those accounts, at least that was my experience when I opened with the biggest bank back in 2017. It's better to have the account down reading zero balance than running around when you urgently need it

Edit: the “biggest bank” was supposed to be kind of inferred o. I no dey do free marketing for anybody. But the two biggest banks (profit wise) are a red bank and an orange bank. My account was with the red bank
How can I do this chief?
What's required??

After recieving the funds, must i buy crypto, why can't i just send it to my bank, and also can't I register with my national ID card

You can register with your national ID card if your picture is on it.

If you withdraw to bank directly from Payoneer, bank exchange rate is around N450/$

If you use the currency on your virtual debit card to buy crypto then sell crypto back to naira, exchange rate is around N750/$.
They'll buy crypto from you at black market rate not bank rate.

You understand?

Hello, I have 17.54 Eur in my account, please how can I withdraw it. They are telling me the money isn't up to minimum for withdrawal

Gohs:

Have you never heard of Payoneer.com?!

They will give you USD bank account + EURO bank account (if you ask for euro)

You will receive direct deposit in USD.
You will receive direct SEPA transfer in EURO if you ask.

You will be given free virtual debit cards upon request.
Then you can use your card to buy crypto and exchange for Naira on binance.com or localbitcoinexchange.com

You will sell crypto at black market rate not bank rate.

It's legitimate, you can register on Payoneer.com with your voter's card, international passport or driver's license.

You can use Native Teams. They give you a Euro account that you can use to receive directly from Upwork & Payoneer and you can convert at Black Market rates for that day. The only charge is 1% on withdrawals. You can check it here https://nativeteams.com/pricing

Request for a virtual card in Euro currency.

Use your card to buy crypto on Binance and then sell for Naira.
If you don't know how to sell crypto on Binance, please Google Search.
There are tutorials online.

Another good option of selling crypto is localbitcoins.com
