Hong Kong - CNN

US chip maker Micron says a ban on selling to Chinese companies working on key infrastructure projects could cost it as much as a “high single-digit” percentage of its annual revenue.

Beijing announced the sanctions on Sunday, in a major escalation of an ongoing battle between the world’s top two economies over access to crucial technology.

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said the company had failed to pass a cybersecurity review. The news came shortly after the close of the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Hiroshima, Japan, where leaders of major democracies spoke in one voice on their growing concerns over China.

“The review found that Micron’s products have relatively serious cybersecurity risks, which pose significant security risks to China’s critical information infrastructure supply chain and would affect national security,” the Chinese regulator said in a statement.

As a result, operators involved in domestic critical information infrastructure projects should stop purchasing products from Micron, it said.

Shares of Micron Technology (MU) sank about 3% Monday. Its Asian rivals had finished the day higher. Shares of Chinese memory chip maker Ingenic Semiconductor jumped 2.8%. Shenzhen Techwinsemi Technology surged 6.3%. Toyou Feiji Electronics soared 14%. In Seoul, SK Hynix, one of the world’s largest memory chip makers, gained 0.9%, outperforming the South Korean market.

There is a Belgian student visa thread in the travel section. Go there and ask your questions.

Haha, I see. Ok, so I don't know anything about Belgian student visas. Never applied for one and have not been subjected to such. My comments there were not about assisting people with Belgian student visas.

Evil always shoots itself in the foot. Evil thinks of momentary gain but suffers in the future. America's past is its baggage, and they can't cleanse it off.

Hence they are so determined to be the sole hegemon so that justice will never catch up with them.

Only the strong can demand justice. The weak will not get justice, especially when justice is the punishment of the strong.

In a multipolar world, America will have to answer for its crime against humanity, and they don't want that. So I expect them to fight and fight until it is beyond clear that they aren't the sole power anymore.

I believe Iran's integration into BRICS is very strategic given that USA has been poking Iran seriously lately but it usually doesn't make it to main stream media until Iran retaliates. This will give them a cutting edge. Also I duff hat for Iran cause at one point they were the most sanctioned nation in the world despite being small compared to China and Russia that has and is currently the most sanctioned nation in the world respectively. Iran managed to still stay United despite the terror sponsored by the West to break it.

The West couldn't bomb Iran because they're not sure if Iran has nuclear weapon or not. They do not want to put themselves in spot where if Iran had one, they will retaliate, and if Iran had none, Iraq will replay only this time, the whole world is watching how much evil the West is and will further speed up the multipolar. It's a risk they can't take.

Iran also joined SCO (Shanghai security organisation), so military aggression against Iran has been ruled out, because it would be the whole China and Russia that will defend Iran.

SCO is like Nato, and way stronger then Nato, but they don't make noise. So many folks don't know it.

Ah swear. Before that country I was indifferent to it until this war opened my eyes. She is part of the countries I would want to visit. Iran and North Korea. I have no interest in South Korea.

Hello, I have some questions. How are working hours in most European Factories and industries, especially the Nordic countries? Do workers in the manufacturing sectors run night shifts? How many hours and shifts do most factories and industries operate in a day? Sorry, if you aren't informed about my questions or that you consider them pestering.
